I think this is what it will be..like Anita’s character (shagun) in YHM. Frankly you can draw many parallels between the two shows, so you can also guess where this show is heading. We should learn that slowly this will head the same way. Of course I hope at least the lead actor does not phugofy like the other lead actor,...body building ke nam pe building na bann jaye!

Sickand was creative director in YHM and Ekta was producer, in this one he is creative director and producer. But he considers Ekta as his hero so all his learning is from Balaji only, so I don’t have much faith in him at all

See Anita's character was a vamp right from the start. From the very beginning she was shown to be a gold digger who never valued Raman. In the book (I have read Custody) Shagun falls out of love with Raman and money was probably just one part of it, not all of it. So Shagun remained a vamp for a very long time there. Here Raima is shown to be a positive girl. Unless makers decide to have her full time, I don't see her turning into vamp. As for Ekta being his hero, it could be for various reasons. Ekta became successful at a very young age by working hard and she can be a role model for many. As for the shows she makes, I had read one interview of hers long back. Some 16-17 years ago where she said she could make something different but she will end up watching it alone in her living room. She is in the business to make money and if audience likes crap she will give them that. I don't blame her at all. But if you have not checked out yet, then do check out some of her shows on her OTT platform. She is fab. BTW have you seen Sandip's other show as producer Dhai Kilo Prem? I haven't and I was hoping if anyone here had so that I got an idea of what to expect from Sandip's shows.

i watched Dhai Kilo Prem it was quite good different because leads were overweight and nothing more same everyday story....

Your points are valid and rational. But remember ITV Stories are neither valid nor rational. as for web series, Alt Balaji had to step up, they would not have survived in the web space if they had typical saas Babu shows. The format and market is totally different, in limited series, story and content is king, in long running soaps, story is nothing, tracks and trp are king. KHKT is a soap not web series.

Ekta May call herself creator in every alt Balaji show, but if you notice, the directors of those shows are amazing art directors who have made a name. Once someone said that they go with an idea ro Ekta, she is approved of idea that’s why she credits herself as concept and idea...🙄.At the same time ALT Balaji also produces rural erotica which is so badly made that they have not understood erotica at all. Ekta loves to be a pioneer and that’s fine, except times change and audience changes. Even today, she swears by regressive tv, and points to trp for success but what we cannot ignore is she is the one who also created many Sandip sickands like her and regressive ITV soaps continue, the only thing I thank her for is the rise of content in alternative mediums like web series becos we were all tired of watching her kind of crap on TV. Once on a YT panel she sat there talking about content, in that video ka comments, each and every comment was about who is she to talk about content. Since then she has not been invited on panels about content, they sent someone else from alt Balaji.

So my saying is that let’s take it for what it is, this is a soap show, at least my viewpoint is stop watching when it bores me and rewatch when and if it gets interesting. Not to have too many expectations and overanalysis of characters, but not that no one should do or anything but mostly to avoid it so that we all don’t become crazy fans who then suddenly cannot even hear criticism about the show. I feel shows that have such kind of audience are more powerful. Fans and followers sometimes ruin the show as mischief as regressive cvs

I watched YHM for a couple of years and quit it during Alia Adi marriage track. Shagun was a typical vamp and we knew no matter the efforts she made she will fail. As for Raima only till she wakes up from coma can we comment. She could turn out to be instrumental in getting Ronakshi closer or drive them apart momentarily. For me it’s the end of the show if Rohit starts blaming Sona for Raima’s state. If dhai kilo was like an everyday story we can still hope Sandip keeps KHKT simple. That’s how it’s always been. Light hearted and even Karan Grover mentioned Ronakshi always manage to find some funny moments in even the most serious situations. So I was hoping for it here as well but with Raima’s entry and Karan’s re-entry I am unsure. But let’s wait and watch.

Ekta just invests in a concept and she is no story writer. She is good at catering to what audience wants. ITV is sadly ruled by soaps that run for decades. One glance at TRP toppers will confirm that. Coming to Alt I said she has done some amazing stuff. Not all 😄 the eroticas are horrible. No denying there. But u have some beautiful stories like haq se, broken, home, baarish, CLACK, test case, Bose among others. Heard MOM is good and yet to see it. Wasn’t too impressed with BOSS as the mystery part was a bummer for me. But it was shot well nonetheless and she has a military thriller lined up starring none other than Jennifer Winget who is the top actress in TV today where being a performer is concerned. Ekta also made a valid point once when audience protested and signed a petition for one of her zee shows that’s a TRP topper. She said rather than protesting so much they can stop watching it altogether and that will be an indication for her to do something about it. I know a writer who has worked with reputed production houses and has been associated with big shows. Plus I have read her works. She is beyond amazing. Her FF is one of the best stories I have ever read (not just as an FF but as a story) but when I see her work on screen I wonder what happened coz it’s not even 10% as good as her writing. That’s not bcoz there is a fault in her writing but with the way things are made for TV. Some of the writers here in IF are so good themselves. And then the creatives of the shows are professionals and they get paid for it. Do u honestly think they are good for nothing? These are the same writers who come up with interesting stories that get us glued to the show. So y do they falter towards the middle? It’s because the channel puts pressure on them and force them to change tracks. Channel is not concerned with story but just TRP. So I don’t feel like blaming production house or the creatives.

@bold - so agree with u there. That’s what I do. If I don’t find the story or the characters convincing I quit it. About criticism it’s just a story that’s being criticised. I don’t mind a healthy argument but u can’t expect that with fandoms. U r right about fans too. Sometimes they cross all limits of craziness 🙈
