For people that aren’t Bollywood viewers it’ll just look like a 8 Mile rip off, should’ve sent Andhadhun or Article 15.

Why would gora's care about some gully boy when they have 8 mile

Nice. But aur kisi language mein koi aur movie nahi thi kya better? Does anybody know which other movies were in the running?

This is what it has come down to, even article 15 would have been a better option.

lol @ article 15 being a better option. Article 15 is a good movie but nothing great, the subject of the movie is just one factor, there are other aspects to a movie. I think GB is the best amongst the hindi movies at least. Dunno about regional.

GB is not a copy. And even so, it's about how well the movie is made. I really liked Andhadhun but considering all factors, I would vote for GB too.

Even i was thinking that. But i comforted myself with lies and excuses. 😆 but yes i think somewhere they might not connect it how much we did. But they also love how we are a poor nation.
