Epi 71: 20 September, 2019

1. Rohit keeps Raima's watch in a box where he has kept other Raima's stuff. I'm actually happy that they showed that he's trying to distance himself from Raima's memories. However Raima was, it's a fact that Rohit loved her. And now he's taking the first step in moving on, starting wth putting away Raima's stuff.

2. Veena saw Rohit keeping the 8 lakh ki ghadi in the box. Although the scene was meant to be emotional, this actually cracked me up. Veena's Sindhi heart would be so happy ki 8 lakh ki ghadi kisi samundar mein nhi h. I think, with time as Rohit moves on, Veena would also feel lighter, as she was bearing the burden of her son's unhappiness along with him all these years. She was the one who knew he was stuck in his past she should be the one to witness his trial at moving on.

3. Rohit said that Raima was his first love and would always remain special. Glad, (at least for the time being) that this bit was included. I'd actually have been disappointed if it wasn't because it'd have been strange if Rohit had just got up in the morning and moved on suddenly. It's natural that he'll think about her or some moment spent with her once in a while. It's not like he can just remove Raima named hard disk from his brain. But with time, those memories should be few and far between.

4. Raima's name is now Mamai. Seriously, what's even the logic? Raima's mom doesn't want Rohit to find out about her? Great, if she is so convinced that Rohit is going to kill Raima the next time he sees her, why's she even keeping Raima in Mumbai? Weren't they going to Chandigarh. Raima is clearly out of any immediate danger of travel and now they can surely leave Mumbai? Also, is it even possible for hospitals to just change the name of the patient? Wouldn't medical insurance claims and other documents require an identity proof?

5. Sonakshi rings Pulki to J Seth Therapy center for internship. Happy that the writers didn't use Pulki's internship as a reason for Sonakshi to go and talk to Rohit. Sonakshi wants to keep distance from Rohit, so she should surely not go around asking favours for her younger brother from him.

6. Sona and Pulkit are at the hospital to meet Dr Parashar but he wasn't available. Doesn't it all seem a bit too convenient? Netra having a relative in the same hospital where Raima is, so that Pulkit can intern there and Raima can see Sona. Couldn't Raima have seen Sona on the TV in KPK, in a commercial, even the news or newspaper given the recent Mhatre scandal, and still have the same reaction? But they had to bring Sona physically to the hospital, why?

7. Raima recognises Sonakshi by her name. In fact, she's so affected by her presence that she raises her hand to point her finger and even speaks first time in four years. Clearly, Sonakshi doesn't recognise Raima, at least not by her name. I'm wondering if Sonakshi knew Raima by the name Mamai. The writers have kept a lot of suspense regarding 26th Sept. We don't know what and how it'll turn out to be, but so far they've been able to keep our curiosity for that big secret.

8. Sonakshi's celebrity status goes with her everywhere. I have seen so many shows where so-called celebrities just roam about freely on the streets, that I feel good about this show whenever a fan asks Sonakshi for a selfie, today it was the nurses.

9. Mamai toh TV serial nhi dekhti hai. Obviously nhi dekhti h, 4 saal se coma mei thi. Also, I think it's been mentioned a couple of times that KPK has been airing for 3 years, Raima was in coma for 4 years, so I'm glad that reasoning is out of the way. She definitely doesn't know her by watching her on the TV.

10. Neither the doctor nor Raima's mom know that Parvati's real name is Sonakshi. The nurse had to tell them. Nice detail, as the doctor didn't even seem to recognise Sona and Raima's mom may not have had time/desire to get to know the name of actors of TV characters.

12. When KPK's director was explaining the scene for Parvati's re-entry, I could remember seeing similar scenes several times on ITV. At least they are keeping KPK consistent with other TV shows. As far as I remember, this trend started when Mihir came back from dead in Kyunki.. And now, we know nobody in a serial ever dies. Hopefully KHKT will stay away from this trope.

13. "Ab toh lagta h KPK 2 saal aur chalega aur meri flat ki EMI ka tension khatam." Nice little peek into the life of a junior actor. I never thought that the junior/not so popular side characters depend so much on the show they are a part of. I mean leads/well known faces get other shows/reality shows more often than not, but it must be difficult for junior actors who must find it difficult to get a permanent role in any new show.

14. Sumit has come to ruin Sona's happiness of returning on set. Where does he even get the courage from, to ask Sona to be friends? I guess asked to be returned on the show would've boosted his ego a lot.

15. Sumit ke through hi sahi, makers included a good point in here. The publicity of a show is affected by what happens with the actors in real life. So the social media campaign and Sonakshi's arrest would definitely have worked in getting more eyeballs and recognition for KPK. (I know he made a statement about how Sona should get married soon or Rohit would also leave her like Karan, but I'm not going to pay any attention to it. He has brought up Sona's past before also, and I believe it's in tune with Sumit's character to taunt Sona for her past. Last time he said ki ek hi bf tha, usne bhi chhod dia. This time he's taking Rohit's name to rile her up.)

16. Rohit is back in his hospital. He hasn't turned into a ML who wears branded suits but stays home all day. I was actually starting to get worried about it after all, he has been chasing goons and lighting candles in the church for a while now

20. This episode did seem like a filler where nothing of substance really happened. By normal ITV standards, there was still a progression in the story - Rohit trying to move on, Raima reacting by seeing Sona, Sona returning to KPK, all were important pieces. But it doesn't hold candle to what we really have been experiencing from this show thus far. (Or maybe I just wanted a big cliffhanger as it was Friday's episode. I'm telling you, these BTS segments are killing my curiosity. I'll just stop watching them from now on.)

I eagerly wait for your and it is amazing as always.. About your 7th point Dipika said in a segment that Sonakshi doesn't recognise Raima even when she meets her at the hospital.. At the hospital Raima holds Sona's hand and Sona is confused as how does she know her..

Also how he says it aloud that he can’t do this mistake in front of sona( taking wrong names which he was doing for his patients ) well great analysis as usual coz rest of the episode was on FF mode for me.
