Actors with their own YT channels...a good idea?

It seems like every other day some actor or actress is announcing that they have launched their YT channel. 

It started off with Alia Bhatt, followed by Varun Dhawan (who I think had a channel earlier but was not active there), then Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani and now Kartik Aaryan has announced that he is launching his channel today. 

Is having a YT channel really going to help them in increasing their popularity or will it diminish their popularity since people might get fed up of seeing them?

I think it's because of insta hiding likes n views, it's way of showing their popularity to advertisers..

Jackie probably has the best Youtube channel.

Everyone else needs improvement 

Yes.... they can earn from Youtube even when they get no other offers... They can also diversify their content...
