I am 100% sure that Bapji had an affair with Anusuya and that's why he wanted to fake his death and leave Malhar's mother. But when he was going to do that, Swara followed them and probably saw the entire thing, so they had to take her along.

I think Sarthak knows about the affair. I think it is all related back to July 26th. I think the terrorists used that info. to force them to do something that inadvertently led to Atul's death.
