I think Ron is the most well rounded character. He feels envy, jealousy, has insecurity and acts purely on childish instinct and then matures. He's also loyal and funny. He loves Harry as a brother but there's sibling rivalry and feeling of inferiority too. This is the Ron in the books. I can't stand the one in movies.
he's the most human one for sure. In films all the characters get more one dimensional. Book Harry is damn sassy and reallyangry at times,I mean he trashed Dumbledore's office after serious died, also his PTSD was more clear. It felt depressing in his pov at times when he'd want to get close to Dementors as it made him hear his mom dying n in that way atleast he could hear his mom's voice. Oh godðŸ˜
Book Hermione was more short tempered, could be very close minded when it came to imaginative stuffs, was tactless at times n ruthless too
Book Ron was extremely protective,I mean he stood up on his broken feet guarded Harry n told Serious if u want to kill Harry you'll have to kill us too. Which the film's shamelessly gave to Hermione.
The film's make it look like Hermione is hrry's main best friend. While in the books he loves both but he clearly prefers Ron's company when he n Ron has a fight in gof n Hermione is his only friend. As he says 'hermione being your best friend meant a lot less of fun n laughter n lots of sitting at the library' .He totally did grow to appreciate her n enjoy her company though. Given how inhalf blod prince he denied to let the two's fighting get in the way of his friendship with both m actually chose to comfort Hermione over Ron sometimes. But Ron clearly is the glue which is apparent when he leave in dh n Harry n Hermione barely even talk for sometime. Then they do get closer cz at that moment they literally just had ecah other only
I really love all 3 together in the books tbh. Very very special friendship they share
