SLB is not making a historical movie. The movie is a modern day movie.

DP did just fine in those movies. The problem was just that SLB didn't use her as well as he could have and focused on other stuff (in BM PC got the good scenes and sympathy and in Padmavaat he was obsessed with Khiliji). She did much better in Ram Leela where she got more scenes to shine and played a more well rounded character (less one note).

She was ok at best in those. Randeep was way better than her in Highway but she got all the praise. She had it easy and got everything handed to her by Kjo.

Kalank showed that Alia isn't made for those types of roles, it was a miscast. It didn't tank because of her but it exposed her limitations as an actress

In whatever scene she got DP was horrible poor slb had to edit it out to make the movie bearable.. That song of DP n Shahid is proof enough of her world class acting... In BM she had straight face n glossy eyes the whole movie, n PC had very few scene bt still ate her alive, rest every thing excuses blah blah

Alia is a better actress than DP at the worst scenario she will act like dp in paddu, one can't go down from there

SLB should just cast Akshay Kumar and be done with this.

Either way, the PR articles need to stop. This whole Inshallah episode has been such a hotchpotch.

More like SLB didn't give her a strong enough role in both movies and just had her stand around and look sad. Even Shahid Kapoor who is usually great actor was bland af in Padmavaat, is he a shitty actor as well now? You are the one who can't see beyond your hate for DP

Your questionable opinion isn't a fact. Alia would have been forgotten a few years ago if she didn't get everything handed by Kjo, that's why she gets so many important movies. Most likely scenario is that she will pull another Kalank and deliver SLB a flop, lol

SLB is not giving good role to DP. We don’t care. Mastani still iconic despite being a mediocre performance. World class actress Alia failed to even be remembered for 2 months after Kalank. Her performance was pathetic. Cold hard truth. I actually want her in this, so people can see how overrated she actually is.
