Seems to me there's too much resentment about his recent success where he has broken the 140Cr ceiling that he used to have. Instead of acknowledging that people just find it easier to say that yeh toh bas patriotic movie karta hai.

Patriotic films are being sold today, its a trend which is working...who actually thought that a film like tashkent films with 0 buzz shall strike gold at the box office with just 250 screens available, that explains everything.

i don't mind patriotic/political/historical films esp for women because it gives them strong independent roles and do not need a male counterpart to stand..examples r plenty - neerja, manikarnika, raazi, tashkent files etc

Kesari wasn't a patriotic movie nor was Rustom. People mostly talk as the general perception is made too.

Akki movies even though patriotic always have leftist tone of secularism and modern liberalism, which is ignored because people want to keep believing that Akshay is a right wing propoganda bearer in BW, lol.

Mission Mangal and Kesari are historical films with some patriotic lines, doesn’t make it a patriotic film.
