I don't like Manohar but I feeling bad for him. Love of his life Aarti left him, his friend Shashi is no more with him. Not on good terms with his family and step-in. Literally this man his alone.

Shashi was a compassionate man, but he fell prey to his emotions as a father. So he chose Akash over Arnav, for Khushi.
