Yr we talked about assimilating with the culture we are going to... so why not follow it at home as well.. In northern parts of India Cows are considered as holy ...sacred animal. So why not just respect those sentiments..

India has several cultures and religions. As much as we have to respect the right of Indian Hindus to worship the cow,we equally need to respect to Indian Muslims' right to eat beef. Or anyone's right to eat anything they want which is legal. Respect is a two way street. Unka bhi desh hain. They can eat what they want. Why should only one side respect the sentiments.

Imo religion is personal thing. We can decide what we won't eat but not what other people will eat. Unless someone is force-feeding beef to u it shouldn't bother u. Same for pork inmuslim countries,non kosher in Israel .
