She's a victim of Stockholm syndrome. That's the first thing that always comes to my mind when I see these two. And it's rather fun to watch it now, idk why. The submissive victim and the dominant perpetrator who doesn't even seem like a perpetrator anymore.

This is true to an extend. The deal with bajaj alienated her physically and emotionally from all her loved ones. Having no proper edu and other life skills she is now caged in this deal. Bajaj makes her feel she has full freedom of choice, but indirectly nudges her in the direction he wants her to take. Dard aur dawa dono hi wahi dey raha hain. Her world will soon revolve around him, and he will be the ones setting the rules and acting god. Also prerna is an extrovert and quite an emotional person, she cannot stay emotionally distant to the only person who is actually in a position to give her some emotional respite. She is lucky that bajaj is actually not an evil person.
