To all the makers/editors of YRHPK,

Hi! I'm a huge fan of your show, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. I haven't been watching it since it aired, but have recently gotten into it after binge - ing all episodes on HotStar.

The main reason I started watching this show was because of the beautiful things my friends on Twitter had to say about MishBir. MishBir lived up to all my high expectations, the ones I'd formed after seeing them on my Twitter timeline, reading tweets where everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about them as individuals, and as a (then potential) couple.

Being the ardent MishBir fan that I am, I was very excitedly looking forward to today's episode, given that it was their first date. All the beautiful spoilers that released didn't help matters. Seeing all of them, watching the BTS and SBB, SBS etc segments increased my excitement ten fold, because I was so sure that we would be getting an amazing, amazing, amazing first date, that would rival the beautiful confession episode we got last Friday.

So, I hope you can understand my frustration with today's episode. The date seemed to be really, really, really rushed. We didn't get all the scenes that were shown in the BTS - the selfie with the deer, Abir hugging Mishti from behind, Abir wiping the dirt off Mishti's cheek, Abir pulling Mishti closer. And that's just the scenes I know were there that were edited out. Who knows what other scenes that had not made it to the BTS have been edited out as well?

Either way, even if I hadn't watched that BTS, the date was disappointing because of the frequenting cutting to KuKu scenes. Now, I get that you were trying to show a parallel and highlight the difference between a healthy, beautiful relationship like MishBir and a toxic one like KuKu. I completely get that. Also, KuKu as the parallel leads will obviously get a lot of screen time, especially right now given their story is providing some high voltage drama for the audience.

But, that doesn't mean that you compromise on MishBir and their screen space for KuKu. The essence of the date, the beauty of MishBir's relationship, and all the excitement for it was ruined because I had to sit through KuKu scenes interrupting theirs. Everytime I was about to get into the moment, feel the butterflies that I usually feel when MishBir are together, the scene would cut to show KuKu fighting, and that just destroyed the entire episode for me.

A date that I had been anticipating would last more than an episode didn't even last one properly. What was the need to cut back on all those beautiful scenes to show Nidhi Mami & Parul Masi talking? Or to show KuKu fighting? Today, MishBir deserved your undivided attention. They deserved to have a beautiful, fulfilling first date. The viewers deserved to see them spend some time together after all the drama that had happened. But, KuKu ruined it. They're the parallel leads of the show, not the main leads. They do not deserve so much screen space, especially not at the cost of taking that time away from MishBir.

You've disappointed me today with the sloppy editing, the unnecessary scenes, and the rushed date. Please understand that MishBir are the essence of the show. This is their story, and KuKu are just a part of it, not the entire story in themselves. Please, please, please give MishBir more screen time, show their moments unadulterated, without any interruptions.

I hope that things better in the future and we don't have to see something like this again. MishBir are the leads of the show, not KuKu. Please, treat them as such.

Agree .. Even I don’t like this cutting of MishBir scenes in between and showing KuKu fighting, God knows what they want to achieve by that. They have done this before as well.. MishBir scenes were interrupted and MeeKu scenes were shown. Then there have been scenes when MishBir were having some good time and cut to KuKu cribbing on their fate.. matlab kya hai.. pata nahi contrast dikhane ki koshish karte hain ki kya karte hain... It suddenly changes the mood of the scene.. alag alag dikha lo bhai... hum ek saath MishBir ki date bhi dekh lenge aur KuKu ke issues bhi dekh lenge par ek dusre ke scenes mein ghusane ka kya matlab hai...🤔🤔

I haven't watched the episode but won't jump into conclusions, it could be 2 or 3 episode waala date. Based on what I've seen over the years in ITV, most of the romantic scenes which are usually chopped are inserted in Flash back scenes in future scenes, while some do get chopped on a whole.

I haven't watched the yet but from the written update I too am upset with the screen space given to our leads. From the beginning of the show they did the same but then I felt it was for showing the characters in depth.

Now even after 116 episodes I don't feel the necessity to interrupt Mishbir scenes with others. It's a humble request with the makers from all the Mishbhir fans to not to spoil the Mishbhir scenes with any interruptions 🙏. I watch this series only for Mishbir (Shaheer and Rhea) .. especially for Shaheer Sheikh.
