@ randomfancrics ....i'm with you on path forward. I will enjoy the old scenes and no longer watch the current or future scenes...if there are good akshan scenes i'll maybe watch but other than that i'll skip and maybe for months i'll skip. No need to get bp up for no reason and i'm also international so i won't be adding to TRP either 😆

Coming to the story, I m someone who is more into logic than romance. I like to watch shows that have a better storyline. Personally I enjoy shows that r good even if the pair's chemistry isnt great over shows that has a good pair but pathetic storyline. It's rare for ITV shows to have both the good chemistry and storyline at the same time, GTNHP was that show for me till they brought in Antra track, now it's a show with good pair but pathetic storyline. Besides GTNHP, I m watching two other shows on and off because of good story but neither of the show's pairing attrached me much(one has an average pairing one has a not so good pairing) I always prefer show that has good story than a good pair, shows that has both I have a special attachment towards such shows, which is why i used to be so attracted towards the show, I just feel bad that they are turning the show into an ordinary show just for the sake of trp. If this show was a show with good pair but poor storyline from day one, i won't have cared about the show, but it's just that i feel really bad to see a good show with good pair being spoiled. For 3 years I had the same fav show/jodi, but last year my fav changed to Akshan(show wise it was never my fav, but used to be one of my favs) But this Antra track is too disappointing.

Before Antra track, throughout the show I think if there was one track that disappointed me that would be Angad track but makers redeemed themselves really well and covered the mistake they made by turning Angad to positive and also the fake memory loss was fakely executed. Though Dadi Bua track didn't bring a 'fast' process to the story, I still loved that track and appreciated it, because I liked how positive Akshan's relationship was and how supportive Akshat was as a husband which was something unique for me. I rather prefer tracks like Dadi Bua track that moves the story slowly even with some logic than Antra track that comes from nowhere and complicates the story even more and makes it highly ridiculous and unrealistic.

For me, after Antra track the show isn't the same anymore for me which was why I was watching it on and off, i think i didnt watch a single episode from 2nd week of july till end of july, i was just reading written updates. Because Akshan has a really special place in my heart, now I have decided rather than disappointing myself from watching later episodes I rather enjoy the Akshan scenes from the older episodes. If the later episodes happens to have good and meaningful Akshan scenes then i will watch those clips on social media. Moreover I am an international viewer so I won't have been contributing to TRP either. But frankly speaking it's a poorly designed system for ratings. Just my opinion.

Absolutely agree that it is a pathetic and unfair way of giving ratings . India is such a huge country , How can few thousand meters decide what the country likes ??? This is exactly why we see such differences in rural ratings and urban ratings . And conveniently only urban rating are considered as Advt. agencies consider only those . Imagine Earlier TAM had only around 15000 meters . Barc increased it .

And lots of allegations of tampering and corruption also have been there . In fact NDTV went to court . It was also alleged that the biggest PH of TV industry had identified the houses with meters and these house got expensive diwali gifts for keeping TV on during the slots of their shows . But with Barc things are a bit better .

One of my favorite show Rangrasiya , everybody I knew watched it and yet the trps were low !!!!

Lots of good shows suffered . And the low quality of content is also because of this stupid rating system . Once they have DTH everywhere in India like UK things will change .

Even I wouldn't mind a show with less chemistry but a good story line . In fact for me good story , dialogues is a integral part of chemistry . These randomly thrown in scenes with hugs and kisses sometimes just dont gel with my idea of romance .

But I have learnt to keep it just that , entertainment !!!! Why go so deep !!!!!! It only hurts !!!!

Yes uptil now Guuddan Makers have been fair to Akshan fans . Also its too early for a leap . No contemporary show is taking a leap .TRP bhi acchi hai . So there must be a strong reason for leap .

In fact I remember the director saying we dont want to take leaps like other shows just some time back.

If I m not wrong u were an ikrs fan also right dii, that show was one of my fav shows and I think that show had the required chemistry and storyline but the dusri aaurat angle spoiled the show, same is happening wid gtnhp.

i saw rangrasiya too, it wasn't my fav, but one of my most all time fav show used to air right before rangrasiya, so i have quite some idea about rangrasiya though i didnt watch it much, i think the pair's chemistry was kinda underrated in the show, it wasn't a bad show that's what I know, infact both the leads I have watched their prev shows, i liked them in those shows

not many shows can make good use of good chemistry between the pairs due to its cheesy, ott and dramatic dialogues, and some shows even if the pair's chemistry r not that good at least the way they show facts makes the show even more interesting and then the pair is automatically liked.

yeah all these shows r for entertainment purposes. its always fine to criticise or praise a show, but never go abusive or serious for a show, that's my pov.

Yess I loved IKRS !!!! In fact I changed my DP to Akshan jut recently . And Antara is there everywhere !!

Also i sometimes wonder , shouldnt they have chosen someone extremely beautiful as antara , so that we could believe that Aj was so crazy for her . No good qualities , No love in her heart for akshat , no respect for his family , mind full of greed and filth , extreme streak of violence which cld make her stab people and to top it all average looks (Nothing against daljeet , but looks wise she is no stunner ) . Dekha kya AJ ne ki deewana ranjha banke raha for 15 years ????
