Question to both fandom [DT Note Page 3] - Page 2

I used to a big big fa of this Prerna character once..(kzk1 days).. Wo bhi isliye kuki maine use bas mother india, ek achi wife, good friend, good mother and always with truth dekha tha.. So strong and independant. I used to though she can never be wrong with her work. Even her slapping to Anu used to be acceptable from my side. But then when I watched the serail from begining in later days..my worships gone totally wasted. I learnt no character is good enough for worshipping. She had so many flows as well. But she was hell of a strong character.

Ekta has always been the naribadi one.. She shows women strong (though i hardly used to watch her other serials) so Prerna as a strong character came into my mind this time also. I so wanted this prerna character woth some other qualities THIS time beside her strongness but alas.. Hopes cruahed so brutually.

Uske bad ke bat toh bad mei atey hain but the woman who cant stand for her mother and her family of her own can never be a strong woman. Never. About her decsion of her (she behaves like its onky her) unborn child, well... Use ye yaad bhi hota hai ki wo pregnant hain??

Honestly no matter how madly in love i m with AnuPre, i wont want a woman to put her lover over her own family. This shows how first her love can change. Her family to Anurag and then to bajaj may be. So, i am not liking Prerna a lot in this season.. At least not as long as she stood for her own ground and dont give a damn to both the men. The day she becomes able to do it i will be by her side. She should be firm about her fundamentals, her emotions, her needs. Sab gam mei bahana hain ise bas.

See the problem with Prerna as a character is that her foundation has never been her own. From the very beginning, she had maybe ten episodes of development as Prerna Sharma, but from the beginning, we were thrust into the idea that Prerna and Anurag belonged together. She was written to literally drop out of college for her family, willing to marry a man that was a demon. Prerna's development has always, always been centred around the men in her life. How she reacts to these men and who she becomes a result of her association and interactions with them. And most importantly what is required of her as a character to develop the men written alongside her.

So I think when people ship her with Anurag or Rishabh, it's who she becomes as a result of her relationships with both. Some like her as the woman she is with Anurag, and some don't. It's the same with Rishabh. And personally yes I prefer her with Rishabh, because the way he's written with him is not sacrificial and most importantly she finds ground to stand on for what she believes in. She's a spitfire with him and it makes her interesting to watch on screen. It's not really Prerna's fault she doesn't have much of an identity, she's always been written to be that way.

Answering your question to Bajaj fans, as a Bajaj fan, I personally, don't care who Prerna ends up with, I like the idea of PreRish coz KSG is Bajaj, but tomorrow if he were to end up with anyone else (not Tanvi, coz she's shit), I for once, would like to see Bajaj and Nivi in the same frame in any setitng - business or personal. Back on topic, since I started watching the show after Bajaj's entry like properly, I haven't really seen anything of Prerna as an individual. I have seen loads of posts against her, and I am not really in her favour as well, but I guess that's because they haven't shown Prerna as an individual, or as a woman. They have shown her as a consequence of the people around her. With Kuki, she's a mother, and to be brutally honest, I do NOT see her as a mother, she actually does seem like a nanny to me. Idk why I try my best to see her as one just can't. With Bajaj, I see her lost all the time, her character isn't even in sync, one minute she's being civil, the next minute she's judging. The only scenes of hers I liked

1. The dance - coz Bajaj pointed out some traits of Prerna, the woman, an individual. Like she's not trusting etc. Maybe not true but her traits nevertheless. Here again, we see her through his eyes.

2. The hospital scene. I liked it coz PreRish seemed like a tangible potential. But one instance cannot erase all the hatred in her heart and if it is, her hatred was pretty petty.

Even with her scenes with Anurag, I see him standing out, trust me, I had no interest in Anurag and found him a pain, but I am looking forward to his spunk filled scene on Monday. It's good fun to watch. 😆

Her scenes with Maasi - what even. I am still appalled she didn't give it back to her for NOT taking the case back. As Bajaj's wife, she could have said a hundred things! Saying, I'll deal with it, take the case back for now, when he wakes up, I'd convince him, imagine if you'd been in jail, and he wouldn't do it to anyone's mother (he told me that), and you maybe right that he'd be angry but my mother's freedom is more important than his impending anger. And what did she say? Give me the lawyer's number. 🤢

Her scenes with Veena - BAD. In fact, her entire family is weird. I haven't understood why Prerna never felt the need to go home even once, and face all their wrath after their marriage. They are your family, for God's sake! Cry and beg and shout and claim that you have the right to be loved and forgiven by them!

Somehow I feel, they are trying to make space for a lot of people in the show, like Mohini - she's justified, Maasi is SHIT, and mainly Anurag and Bajaj. In the quest to make Anurag and Bajaj important, Prerna is shown incredibly weak. She's shown as a consequence of Anurag's ex fiancee, Bajaj's wife, Kuki's mother, a scorned daughter but her individuality is nonexistent. Which is pretty sad.

OMG NAJMA I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE who wanted to see Nivi and Bajaj together. Their scenes during the honeymoon plot were INCREDIBLE. If she weren't married and if this were a different story, I would give ANYTHING to see their character's developed together. Nivi takar waali hai and she's been shown time and time again to have more strength emotionally than Prerna.

Honestly I stopped liking Prerna after a few initial episodes only. But I liked the pairing of Parth and Erica because they kind of look perfect fit wid each other in my opinion. Also the pairing was fresh and I found some chemistry .

But Prerna stopped appealing to me when she first accepted the proposal of Naveen. I couldn't identify with her on any level. Why would a woman who is strong and wants to be independent just give in so easily ?? She barely fought . These tracks might hv been appealing to viewers ages back but in this era when the same old blackmailing and marrying is shown.....I personally find it regressive and non creative.

After that I never found Prerna a strong character. When she walked into Basu house after Anu married Komo......though I liked d atitude but I felt dts just lack of self respect as well.

Now I feel she is having Stockholm syndrome. Someone blackmailed you again and you are forgiving him ??? Why would anyone do dt ?? If he wanted Kuki to hv Prerna......he could hv just told her so or offered her a job. Prerna .......as she is...... would hv understood ( since she is basically understanding to every person every damn time ).

Den I see Prerna dress up now a days......I don't even see the Prerna wid whom the show started. Ok you got married rich...........why is she dressing to impress ?? And to impress whom ?? She isn't even the simple girl anymore.

Lastly the last few episodes I saw I felt ( just my opinion ) Prerna doesn't hv the same love left for her mother as well. I don't even know what she is trying to do !!!

All in all writers need to understand they might hv d same story but it's a new generation of people....so they should atleast present a strong female lead......who can be liked by all irrespective of who she is paired wid.

As the question is specifically on why Prerna doesn't share the news of her pregnancy with Anurag, as a neutral point of view the reason could be that Prerna's showing withdrawal symptoms from Anurag thanks to Anurag's extreme erratic behaviour in recent past. But as a neutral audience, I cannot possibly think of any reason or how or what Prerna's planning to do when the baby decides to pop out cuz I might just give up on CVs planning for the delivery 🤣. I am not sure if Prerna has thought through it, that what she is going to tell everyone. Is it Bajaj's ? Is it Anurag's ? Is it someone else's ? When? What? Etc., you know the obvious questions. Not sure what's the plan here. 😆

Prerna from day 1 was shown to do everything not necessary for people around . And is it only me , but I found her loving Anurag “like MAD “ a bit odd. This man just saved you from a deadly trap. Hats off to him . But he calls you his friend . Even engages with an ex . But you are still crying like hell .... why?

For a girl to be that mad in love , it takes a lot :

1) when you have met the boy innumerable times

2) when you have talked about everything : from what food you like , to what you like to wear to what’s your perspective about life .

3)RESPECT : from the boy as well as his family ( but what we got to see was complete mockery in name of respect )

You confess you love an hour ago - and consummate - get pregnant - quite an impulsive teenager thing I guess - THEN WHEN WAS THERE LOVE MATURE .

What I see now in Prerna that she is trying to gauge the respect and power she is getting . She has been impulsive and self demeaning because nobody really understood her value . But now she has somebody who doesn’t love her , but gives her the respect her soul has been hungry for . Simple . And yeah I like it now - better .

( people will tell me how Bajaj scolded her , treats her like a nanny - the matter of the fact is she didn’t either protest in those times . If we can wait for Anurag ( who has been a mammas boy ) for 200 episodes - then we can certainly wait for Bajaj to get up ,sort up things , cause he is different )

What I want to say that worst has now become bad . May be it becomes good.
