Oh ok, daffod hoon main. Now I got it after you explained. But ek baat still khatakti hai mujhe, why did Big Ben succumb to Parul’s dhamki in the first place? Parul only threatened to tell kunal and not the whole world. And like you said, when truth is revealed, meenu would be appreciated for bringing another’s child as her own rather than ridiculed. So kunal would have been ever more indebted to her. So why is she so scared to tell him the truth? I still don’t understand why and how kunal became her weak point. See, kunal is meenu ka munna not because meenu loves him more. It is because of his unswerving devotion to her. Yes, he is the guy who obeys her but she loved abir more and would get hurt by him more. Even at the start of this track, she gave kunal abir ka waasta ki abir ko bachana hai.

As for abir, abir felt she didn’t try hard enough to get his dad back and hence felt cheated by her and has abandonment issues. Remember the mandir scene between them?

And I felt like the boy who cried wolf story ki he has been saying he will leave so much ki this time, Parul’s dhamki has more effect than his dhamki.

And kunal’s dialogue today that he was the one who tried to be the good son was confusing because remember once abir or nanu mentioned that to get kunal out of depression after the shwet fiasco, meenu involved him in business and he lost himself in it. That means he was a pretty normal kid before that and not the so called achha bachcha who stayed back.

Now anyway by pushing him into this loveless marriage, meenu has earned his hatred. Would it really have been worse to tell him the truth ? I really don’t know if writers forgot something or changed their mind mid way.

I hear you and that’s why I said it was heartbreaking to watch the goodness and love in kunal die visibly today. You are right, in his own way, he loves meenu and abir immensely. And he feels cheated that Big Ben manipulated him. Abir has been an escapist and yes, you said what I was trying to say. He has threatened to leave too many times and this time, kunal could have said bhaad mein jaa.

Now my point is, this time abir’s threat didn’t work but Parul’s threat worked na. So Big Ben ka checkmate hua, damned if you do, damned if you don’t. So I am asking would the alternative have been worse than what she is left with now? Kunal hates her now and he is in a relationship that both he and Big Ben didn’t want. Now alternative was that Parul would tell kunal she is his mom. Kunal would have been hurt to know the truth was hidden from him all these years but what else would have gone wrong? He wouldn’t have hated Ben ba. He may even have agreed to get married a little more calmly to repay her affection. Or he may have had the guts to call off the wedding by telling kuhu that he played with her emotions. The wedding being called off is what anyway Ben ba wanted. So why has she chosen this current path ?
