so beautifully written. I agree with everything you said. People have to work hard to keep their relationship/marriage alive after the first phases of it. Which is why people gets divorced because the interest isn't there anymore. Passion doesn't keep a relationship alive. It's trust and respect. Bajaj has those two characteristics which anurag lack. Bajaj and prerna are recently married and he already done for her what anurag should have done the entire show. Respect and trust her. If anurag did this he would've realized prerna married bajaj to get him out of prison. The problem with the idea of romantic love is that people feel you fall in love and that's it. There's your happily ever after. Except it NEVER lasts. The feeling goes away, the honeymoon period disappears, and then you have to work every single day to keep your relationship alive. There are days when you wake up and you completely hate your partner, days you don't want to look at his/her face, days you're done and the love is gone. But you keep going, you find the reason to love, you respect your partner, you show trust in them. That is why relationships last. Respect and friendship keeps relationships together. Not passion. Because passion is so waning.
I wrote this on another thread but Anurag and Prerna for all their love never worked. The only time they worked was when they were friends. They legitimately worked. The moment they fell in love, literally the moment they confessed, their relationship fell apart. In all that time, they couldn't build a solid relationship on love. It was tinged with hate, miscommunication, toxicity, lack of respect, trust and misunderstandings. They couldn't function as a couple, and that's about it.
Prejaj on the other hand already show patience and trust for each other. The little monologue Prerna had about him always informing her about everything shows how routine it is for her that the moment he doesn't do it she panics. He addressed her going to Anurag because he exactly knows the limits she can go to for her people. And his family has now become her people.
Another interesting contrast. They both approach the same problem in two different ways. She, again selfless, ready to beg Anurag for that family. And him, again, ruthless, ready to destroy Anurag for his family. And what's even more interesting is the fact that they both knew the other. Prerna knew he could do this, he will do this if his hand was forced. And Rishab knew Prerna had come here to request for his family at the cost of her own emotional labor because that's who she is at her core. That level of nuanced understanding that already exists is beautiful.
To add to that anurag family has been insulting prerna since day one and he never spoke up for her. It's always prerna working hard to get accepted. Bajaj in one moment shut down mohini.

That little bit of confrontation where RB begins with slight disappointment and she with confusion. And when she clarifies, he's touched but also blank because he never really expected her to act for his family. But what I really love is how forthcoming he is about his turmoil. this is on point, their understanding despite no proper conversations until this one ... and the respect which they had for each .. Prerna instantly clarifies .. that she didn't mean to put him down by requesting them.... their foundation is strong and the contrasts to their approach can be given to one being emotional, other practical, one being young and inexperienced, other experienced, one thinks with heart and other with mind and then the age difference just adds to the dynamics
And I agree, their contrasts balance each other. What bridges them is their communication. And the respect that's building between them. I'm looking forward to them becoming friends so desperately omg!! AAH

Also, he realises that he was maybe little too harsh on her when he said she didn't need to come here and beg etc., So then immediately he goes on the backfoot with a softer emotion of thank you.
He realises that she graciously understood what he was saying and nods at him when he says to check with him first in future. So he wants to make an effort for her to forget that unpleasant telling off moment with a brighter moment.
He tries to lift her mood up amidst all the happenings.
I feel overtime the awkwardness and unease between the two will cease. That scene between prerna and bajaj was so satisfying to watch and you can see the awkwardness and unease from both.
Yep. At this stage I loved the awkwardness. It has a different appeal to it.
