I don't think every one who is against this promo, is advocating the VDW.

But I think sometimes people need to be bit less critical and open to another one's intentions. I have seen this amusing disdain for anything traditional from certain section of feminists.

Like I see them hating the words "pretty", "sweet", "cute" being used to address women, because they feel that these words were imposed on them by men, forcing them to look beautiful because it is what man want. I mean theek hai, we men are dogs and we like attractive women, but if someone is genuinely good looking, toh saying what it is, main kiya wrong hai. I mean men are also changing, they are also putting efforts in being more clean, groomed and physically attractive, yes centuries late, lekin ho toh raha hai na. Now you can also enjoy company of well groomed, nice smelling and muscular guy, so enjoy the beauty and enjoy being beautiful, why has the word lol.

And this is the "everything about femininity is male made" agenda by certain section of feminists.

I didn't mean that everyone dissing this promo liked VDW, maybe I put it wrongly..... What I meant was nowadays people think that being feminist equals to being modern, to drink and to abuse.... But that is feminism of behaviour, what about feminism of thoughts.... I can be completely traditional in dressing up yet I would be equal to any man in terms of professionalism, standing in a queue, tugging my own luggage etc..... Yet I want to cook at home... Look after my loved ones, take care of house chores..... Can it not be my choice.... Does that make me any less a feminist then a woman who drinks or sleeps around.....

Nowadays feminist have become have become so rigid that they are forgetting the basic rule of freedom of choice ... And not being judged..... They themselves judge traditional women, forcing their beliefs on the latter....

That beauty part is actually hilarious.... We always appreciate good looking things ... Won't those women praise a handsome guy calling him hunk, hot etc.... If that is okay then reverse should also be okay..... After all feminism means equality above everything else....

of course a woman can do whatever she want be it being a homemaker orworking woman. But we can't deny society in our country pushes the first one more for women, and most working women have to do all the house chores along with office job cz their husbands just don't want to enter kitchen. A big problem in urban women's life now is not that they're prohibited from working, it's that that is not making the house chores duties be halved forget. Instead she's having To do two full time job now. The promo made this image of the woman who juggles both as the real idealistic one, and we have had that, a lot. In movies or shows. It's the opposite spectrum that is represented much less. Also it didn't treat it just as a character point, this promo treats it as the basic identifying symbol of these women here. To me it's like if someone talked about Marie Curie n started it with praising how she was a great homemaker wife. I doubt akshay's character will be introduced similarly , his marital status won't play a role.

I also didn't understand where religion came here,I hate forced hijab or burkha as much as ihate force sindoor or ghunghat. If it's not forced on the woman, I am not gonna tell her to remove it or something, not my place. But I do personally not like these things cz the basic fact that men don't have to wear these stuff seems unequal to me. I would be irritated of the sindoor was replaced here by burkha too. Same reason I disliked Zaira Wasim's statement it alienates women who don't wear this stuff n make them look less good or ideal.

But as I said before, u r entitled to your pov, I just wanted to express mine. Getting namecalled for that isn't warranted imo. I'm not saying it's u who namecalled though. I really didn't like the idea that anyone who dislikes this like vdw though. I don't think vdw potrayed sexual liberation of women very well. It was superficial n clearly made by a generation that doesn't understand this generation. Same problem befikre had. I don't think umeant it to hurt anyone though. I respect u cz even though u n I HV opposing views at times u r never personal attacking anyone.

about looks, this same poster n some other guys were actually shaming women in another thread forgoing for attractive guys😂n saying women forgive abuse if it comes from goodlooking guys. Do see my reply there. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking a good-looking people over a mediocre looking one, that's just harsh primal evolutionary instinct. But neither men or women should reduce that goodlooking person to a piece of meat with the objectification.

What nonsense did I just listen to...it should actually be mangalsutra ho ya na ho Mangal mission zaroor hoga...also sindoor aur science/work should ideally have no connection...ever heard a guy saying wedding ring mars par land karwayega ...lol...this is just ridiculous on so many levels that I can’t even....anyways diss the foolish writer for this...Akshay sucks as narrator...they should have cast Amitabh for narration...he would have done the job for them

Okay, replace with better (symbolic) words.

A person constrained by the society to make particular career choices for "being a girl", makes bold career choices. Replace the words "Ye Kangan Shor machayega" with those new symbols.

Bright and talented women who want to pursue their passion/(space mission), even after marriage and marital responsibilities. Replace the line "Jitna ucha ho Aasman ,Ye Sindoor dur tak jayega" with your symbolism.
