THR is quite different from other ITV shows that introduce characters just for a jealously track. They usually have another purpose in the overall story. Even that Rahul was an important character for another track, even though I thought he would just be used for a jealously track. An introducing Kethki now means that she's connected to the August 15th track, but she will also instigate some jealousy in Kalyani, who already feels very insecure that Malhar doesn't like her.
