But I have a argument to present, Prerna cannot get rid of Anurag unless she gives him a closure that he can believe.

Anurag can't believe that she did it because of money at the last moment. That's his conflict. Prerna thinks Anurag can move on only because she told him so, but the truth is he can't unless he has a sound closure. The act of Prerna was truly meant to be a sacrifice & not a rash decision & Anurag was supposed to be amazed at Prerna's love for him. Here one acts that was rash is having a opposite reaction that is equally rash.

She thinks that the truth will force Anurag into guilt trap. Momentarily yes but not forever. The original characterization behaved differently than this. That was healthy & this is toxic. Prerna never made that her majboori but her decision while Anurag accepted this as her supreme love for him that he could never show towards her. Both were honest to each other when Bajaj entered their lives & created a havoc.

I am forced to take original Anurag's reference here. He was angry at Prerna for this decision, but the moment he came to know about the truth in next two days, he was indebted to her. He didn't remain guilty for long or grew obsessive to get her back by hook or crook. He said I would respect your decision & whatever you have done for me. I would never interfere in your life & your commitment but I will stand by you always whenever you need me. I will wait for you. He never liked Bajaj but he respected her decision with utmost sincerity. Prerna too decided to remain friends with him & be by his side as a friend. She gave her son to Anurag on her father-in-law's request & Anu decided to live with his son in her memories. The whole Basu family decided to respect her & not bother in her new life unnecessarily. Even Anurag never bothered her unless it was about their son or business. And Prerna did complete justice to all her roles after marriage.

Here they have completely deviated from original characterization & that's why things look forced here for everyone especially the lead characters.

You've expressed so well 👏 Prerna cannot expect Anurag to get closure if he does not know the truth...and now that she marriage to Bajaj is done, there is no need to hide the truth - neither from Basus, nor from Sharma.

Prerna has saved Anurag's life at a great personal cost. But she is herself demeaning her sacrifices by portraying herself as a gold digger. Anurag deserves to know the truth, Veena deserves to know the truth...Prerna should not try to be extra mahaan and decide that everyone is better off without her.

Having said that, nothing can justify Anurag's current behaviour. Yes, he is suffering from a great trauma...his entire life has turned upside down in a matter of a day, but you still cannot behave this way. If he believes what Prerna I'd trying to convince him, that she married RB for his money, then he can hate Prerna and even vow to destroy her. If he doesn't believe her, and feels that she has married RB under duress, then he needs to investigate the matter and reach to the root of it so that he can help Prerna. Either ways, becoming the obsessive majnu is not acceptable.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, S01 had handled this phase so much better

Things grew & fall organically. Prerna falling out of love with Anurag was gradual. The situation that lead to that fall too was organic. Her falling for Bajaj too was subtle & slow.

One can be responsible without being in love which Prerna was to Bajaj during this marriage. One can be in love & yet maintain a healthy distance & respect each other which AnuPre did during this track.

Here it's a mumbo-jumbo & it doesn't suit any character. The makers have completely ignored subtlety here & made this a toxic, impulsive couple who doesn't think at all.

AnuPre have shown to be more immature and impulsive this time, and Bajaj is more ruthless.

The show has been rushing into one drama after the other, without giving time to the characters to play out their emotions and strengthen their bonds. Even as a Rish fan, I could feel sad for AP in S01...that was the depth of their love.

Exactly! Here the love story of AnuPre is immature and there's absolutely no communication.

And the manhandling and slap throws the hero in such a bad light. What even made the cvs write this?

Keeping the issue of the actress' acting aside, which in itself is problematic for me, and secondly, I'll try my best to keep my bias for Bajaj also aside.

I like this post, coz I guess Prerna needs at least one chance for redemption. I don't really have a problem with anything. This marriage mockery and all also I can accept - I have watched two people accidentally get married and shit on TV 😆

What I do have a problem with - her inconsistency and unidimensional approach. She was so firm I suppose when it came to Komolika track - it looked dramatic but she was pretty resolute. Where is all that resolution now? She should be convinced that what she did was right, instead of feeling SO very guilty for Anurag. She made a goddamn choice. Anurag's life/death sentence + his love + her misery OR his life outside jail + no love + her misery. It's a case of devil and the deep sea. She chose the devil. Why feel so guilty that she's doing something wrong in his love for her? Why is she crying so often and so much? The way she agreed to the marriage - I felt even that scene wasn't powerful but her misery was. Live a miserable life, but live that life with conviction that she made a choice. She chose Anurag's misery outside jail over his misery inside jail. That lack of conviction is making her weak. Indian heroines play the sacrificial bahus all the time, but they show that resilience is the strength women possess. I am dead against tolerance towards everything being portrayed as strength. But here the situation is so weak that such a portrayal would be welcomed instead of being condemned.

Exactly! Good or bad, right or wrong, she has made a choice, taken a decision. Of course, she will be heartbroken and lament her life, but even that has to have a underlying conviction that she did whatever she could to save Anurag

It's beautiful🤗

I dont support PreRish. I m a neutral viewer this season. But ST and RR's chemistry and story was so beautiful☺️ I had million issues with Bajaj for everything wrong he did. But I loved him the most too in S1.
