Well a lot comparisons have been drawn on Anurag and Prerna slapping each other where ppl thinks both situations and circumstances were alike!!

Reasons and provocations could be different but action was the same. I was not comparing anu pre 's slaps nailah, this is more of a generic talk. I cant really justify anyyy character or situation in this shitty show. Also, the point is why cant we psychoanalyze the slap and only see it as an act of violence from a man to a woman?

But its ok.. they are soulmate..

Soulmates who cannot look through each other's pretense.

Soulmates who do not take even a day to actually accept that the other was never the way one thought of him/her to be and question each other's character. Classic zero at trusting each other.

Soulmates who cannot communicate with each other.

Lastly, soulmates who keep repeating the line - you have to move on and you will be able to move on only when you'll hate me the much you love me now. Truly soulmates. 😆

Charu - check the below reply from a member (sorry I cannot recall the username but full credit goes to her, I have saved it on my phone, not just for this shitty show, but in general, such a good read) on man slapping woman vs woman slapping man. This is the most apt and precise post on this issue I have come across -

—————

There's a reason slapping a man CAN NOT BE equated to slapping a woman. I repeat there is a clear backdrop and social picture , heck an entire history of social gender struggles and structures behind it.

There's a reason that in many countries only thr wife can bring charges of poly marriage. There's a reason why domestic violence rules in most of the countries are completely tilted in favor of woman. As it should be. Gender blender can not work here in a country like ours where every 4 out of 10 woman has directly faced physical violence in some form or another from a male close one, be it father/ brother / son / husband / uncle / cousins / in laws and or friends. There's consequences to showing a man hitting a fragile woman.

The basic psychology is in fact different in the two cases. Its traditionally known that women more often hit a man out of helplessness, distress or an act of self defense, while men usually hit a woman to establish power , dominance, intending to over power, subdue or teach a lesson, protect male ego or simply for the heck of it.

He thinks Anurag won't go against Prerna at any cost. This isn't providing wings it's rather holding her in a golden cage. So I condemn this totally.

Regarding the topic yes Prerna is made a puppet whose strings are in the hands of the new person and she isn't able to break free as she is bound by loyalty. I wanna see Prerna herself coming out of this mess without the help of both of them. But writers won't show that. I want to see Prerna Sharma and not Prerna Bajaj or Basu.

well said..star plus obsession for sharma name. Pooja sharma prerna sharma

I read it dear when it was posted and liked it very much. But then that means no that a man and woman are not equal , but different ? Psychologically , physically , diff hormones diff emotions , diff chemical set up, men and women react to diff emotions differently . The fact is anurag did not hit her for any of the mentioned reasons in the last para and this cannot be equated to domestic violence as its a heavy word..so why cant we assess the physcology behind slap which may have been the reason to react so harsh..extreme actions will warrant extreme reactions...my only point is , they have done far worse things in the past (anurag and pre ) so a slap doesnt really change anything for me . And if someone has that much of a problem with it , then the previous times also when pre hits anu, anu hits komo was also unjustified..suddenly with the slap, pre is better off with mr bajaj?

I am not saying she isnt ..i mean prerna and mr bajaj are meant to be . Ab they r husband wife..but whyy so much hoopla over a slap? Either makers shd not retort to such things only . A mother no matter how hurt she is never curses her child . They show extremes

Exactly. It's actually quite surprising to me that people can equate a man hitting a woman and a woman hitting a man. The first and foremost thing: a woman biologically has much less upper body/muscular strength than a man. So, in most cases, if a man starts hitting a woman, she probably can't even defend herself, which is usually not the case if we reverse the genders. And, it's morally wrong to hit/attack a person in any way who can't defend himself/herself. Simple as that. The weaker person(here weaker in upper body strength) should be made to feel protected (in whatever way) not made to feel like they're in any sort of danger. It's the basic law of nature I believe. That's why there're some laws favoring women in almost every country. There's a difference between equality and equity!

Though, that doesn't mean, the opposite is always justified. Physical violence in any way is an extremely serious thing, especially in a civilized society that we live in. Slapping someone on the face is a very intimate thing to do and one must have a solid reason which compelled them to take such an action.

Edit: I also made a separate post about it.
