This thread has been, well, a to-and-fro verbal volley in defence/opposition of Anurag's slap. I for one, fall in the second bracket. There's no reasonable argument to defend Anurag's slap. Sure, one can delve into the psychological intricacies of such behaviour, but that's purely an analytical perspective to understand it. There's no room for justifying such toxic behaviour. I can go furthur on this topic, but time constraints hinder me.

Prerna repeatedly accused him of lusting over her and forcibly wanting to have sex with her when RB harboured no such intentions. How was he supposed to retort? He clearly meant that he doesn't want her for sex.

Yup.

I find it highly lethargic of people to harbour a mindset wherein they look to justify toxic behaviour by playing the "he's emotionally broken" card. It's not just frustratingly cliched, but a highly dangerous way to view a situation that's outright toxic. This medium, for years, has wrongly romanticized the idea of the "broken/vulnerable man" getting away with questionable behaviour. Ultimately, it boils down to a person's own agency. Analyse his psychological state as much as you want, that's absolutely fine, but at the end of the day, fact remains that Anurag slapped Prerna out of his own agency. I wouldn't say that the slap defines Anurag's entire sketch, but I definitely believe that holding him accountable is a much more healthy approach as opposed to bringing in sentimental tropes to justify his behaviour.

I am not defending slap incidents but what hipocrisy are we guys yaar. Pre slap Onu women empowerment, Onu slap Komo its equality it's ok. Suddenly he slap his lady love in the most hurt moment in heat of the moment..its violence lol..comeon.

Plus Anupam got slap nothing mentioned. Please have logic before saying stuff. All of a sudden Onu character is butchered. Ghanta.
