So far looks like the sasu suun relation is being maintained very sober and natural. Hoping this situation does not change later and we don't go into the standard saasu Vs suun drama nor the other extreme of saasu and goody goody suun.

A nice start of the serial !! Possible that Niv & Gir have some connection in past which may be shown later .

NS looks very natural to me. Not ott at all. Tp sometimes comes across as a little bit preachy.

Yeh i understand their reason for registered marriage but still going through all vidhis n saat pheras is more fun, u know in ek lagnachi dusra gosta though mukta n swapnil were doin contract marriage i agree with mukta all those rituals do make sense . Paper marriage is 👎🏼

But a good thing is that Grandpa does not throw a huge tantrum or keep khunnas in spite of his dreams of an elaborate marriage for his ekulta ek grandson being shattered by them going for registered marriage. A typical serial could have dragged this Grandpa's drama for a few episodes but they resisted and made him accept it gracefully (only making a few acerbic comments).

Another good thing about this serial (so far) is they are NOT trying to create a "chemistry" between Soham- Shubhra or (hopefully!) even Abhijeet - Asavari. So viewers need not start coining words like "Sobhra" or "Abhivari". The emphasis is on the story and not on individuals.

I agree that in present situation elaborate vidhis are outdated but a regular marriage is an occasion to bring all relatives together. A court marriage or a reception tends to bring in only the youngsters for the occasion. The senior members of families prefer to attend the traditional vidhis. i know a bhatji who conducts a minimized vidhi marriage and explains to the couple the significance of that vidhi in today's context. So that can be an in-between path.

If saving money was the priority, they could have opted Arya samaj weddings (to keep the oldies happy) or even a temple marriage for that matter. Arya samaj ones are pretty cheap and your marriage gets registered then and there.

But they didn't want to waste time in their marriage. I don't think they'll stretch the serial. Looks like a six month max serial to me.
