Despite this being past discussion timing since new happenings have taken place in the show.
Really? Sonakshi was not justified in not forgiving Rohit's apologies?
Really?
Why should she accept and forgive when Nishi refuses to apologize? She accepted Rohit had nothing to do with it, but she doesn't want to deal with him and his family for good reason. Why is she beholden to put everything behind? She wasn't going after Rohit, just Rohit kept going after her apologizing and she just said...leave me be.
Rohit himself said he was so adamant for Sonakshi's forgiveness for his family and family name, so why the hell should Sonakshi let it pass when Nishi hasn't once apologized? Has Nishi been held seriously accountable for her actions? Have the Sippys and Rohit forced Nishi to apologize? Has she suffered any repercussion except for one family discussion?
So what exactly makes Sonakshi the one who has to accept family apology which they feel entitled to being accepted? Even Veena was saying something like Sonakshi should accept Rohit's apology as he is feeling so bad. LOL. Such entitled set of people.
Rohit is the guy who has a silent treatment with his father for his father's mistakes/past/affair/whatever it may be.
But apparently Rohit should be forgiven and accepted as a friend by Sonakshi. LOL.
Rohit wouldn't forgive and move past if it had happened to his mother in place of Suman with Rastogis being the complainant (which wouldn't happen so easily due to status and wealth differences). Not only that Suman has the added history of police station past. But even without that, Rohit would make sure to punish the family for the false case whether by law or by flexing money/connections.

Yes in most of the cases wat u r saying is correct. However u cant view an event in isolation. Many in the audience including me r unable to empathize with Sonakshi coz the person concerned is Suman who is an extremely obnoxious person. Forget bt the Sippys the way she treats her own daughter Sonakshi is despicable. That's y Sonakshi's anger seems silly to many viewers coz ppl r unable 2 feel bad for Suman. Yes mother is a mother etc etc but as I mentioned its v diff 4 most of the viewers 2 c it tat way. Also I ve already mentioned 2 another member. If v r talking bt not apologizing the list of misdeeds for which Suman has 2 apologize is too long. Again I repeat Rohit or the other Sippys ve not done any harm. So while she is correct is saying that she cant b friends with Rohit or his family her anger & rudeness to Rohit defo looks OTT. This is my personal opinion & of course u r free 2 disagree. Each person will ve a different perspective. I ve mentioned mine.
^^ I never said Rohit is out of character for being fed up last week and stopping his apologies. It would be OTT for him to continue, not because he would be wrong in continuing to ask for forgiveness, but it makes sense for him to give up and also get angry because he and his family are USED to people giving in to them. Seat drama is great example.
Rohit behaved in accordance to his character, considering all the family did was admonish Nishi verbally once, and then expecting the other side to forgive and let go with some talks and gestures.
However Sona is right in not accepting and telling Rohit and the family to leave her alone.
Like I said, Sippys would not have let it slide if Veena or someone in their family were subjected to what Suman was. But they expect others to let it slide.

No u r wrong. Veena v clearly scolded Rohit 4 being rude 2 Sonakshi & apologized on behalf of him during the hospital function. In fact Rohit's dad also prevented Rohit frm fighting with Suman aft Sonakshi's stupid Dora the Explorer adventures in the night. He let it slide though Suman was insulting the Sippys & Police entered his hospital. Believe me its a big deal for any business man if Police enter the premises & a woman keeps slandering his family. Even seat drama it was Nishi who is as stupid as Suman & Rohit who were behaving like idiots. All the others in the family were actually telling Rohit 2 not make a big deal out of it. They were ok with sitting in a different place. So clearly except Nishi the Sippys never misbehaved with Sonakshi or her family. Even now most r saying tat they trust Sonakshi so not sure if u r watching the same show.

Yes, they apologized on behalf of Rohit, which she accepted and which there wasn't a big reason for her not to accept. The same way they expected an apology or apologies to be enough for the police case situation.
The police entered the hospital but no one was arrested. Yes, Suman slandered but everything was cleared in that place itself where everyone witnessed the beginning and the end. It was not the same as a specific case and arrest where someone was taken in custody. Suman was specifically taken into custody in a case that Nishi filed with revenge in mind.
Family members kept telling Rohit it's okay, it's okay. But one interfered and put their foot down. Neither did Deepa just get up and move, nor did Veena, Dadi, or any of the elders say enough. They allowed Rohit to continue taking his stance and not back down, and if Sonakshi backed down or was forced to back down then so be it.

Completely agree. I think police entering the hospital on a missing person's case is not the same as police entering a business. Hospitals probably have police entering all the time in assault or accident cases. It is not associated with the same stigma as having your private house searched and being taken to the police station.
Personally, up to this fashion show debacle, they both made sense to me. If anything I think Rohit has been shown slightly more over the top. Most of us agree with his opinions on Indian television content so its more easily overlooked from the viewers. But going to someone's workplace and making a public scene degrading their work is wrong. Its is a very rude thing to do. Sona, as an actress, didn't do anything to him personally to be on the receiving end of that. Even after she saves his life and helps him when he is stranded he continues in that vein insulting her openly at the hospital event more than once.
So even if he had some kinder interactions towards Sona later there was an undercurrent of negativity to begin with that I can completely understand Sona's decision to dissociate from the Sippy's after the police incident. She didn't insult Rohit. She didn't go out of her way to humiliate Nishi or plan a revenge from them. She even ensured her mom didn't file a lawsuit against Nishi (which would have been completely within their rights). As long as she wasn't doing anything to actively harm Rohit or his family, which she wasn't, I just can't see the problem with her behaviour. I also thought it was completely reasonable for Rohit to make a few attempts and then give up. To me both characters made sense from their perspectives.
I understood Rohit giving his hospital ward for filming differently. He saw Netra in need when he himself was asking Netra for help. He did it as a favor for Netra and not for Sonakshi per se. His next comment to Netra was I have solved your problem but now how can you help me with mine. And the thing is even if he did it for Sona I still don't think its fair that she be expected to forgive. She didn't want him to do that. She didn't want to film there. She just wanted distance from the Sippy's.
I also agree that Rohit is quite an entitled character. Its realistic for his upbringing and his socio-economic status. But we can see that from the way he was behaving with the telecom employee. He expected to have his work done even if it was after hours or illegal. He was physically intimidating and threatening the man. Which is quite a contrast from his insistence on rules when he insisted Sona not visit Preeti (which started the whole overnight drama to begin with). He has been shown to have a bit of a mean streak. I don't think he would have left a stone unturned to destroy the Rastogi's had anyone in his family been falsely accused and dragged to the police station because of them. And I think this is being showcased by the wardrobe malfunction drama. His overreaction is far greater than anything we have seen from Sona so far.
On a similar subject to entitlement, another example of the kind of privilege the Sippy's have is in the manner they are able to suppress news of Pooja's wardrobe malfunction. If this had indeed happened with Pari like intended, Sona would probably not have been able to suppress the news and not even Netra's connections would have completely been able to help in comparison to how confident the Sippys are in talking to the minister directly.
