All contests are governed by rules and regulations, fair play being one of them. While Pari's horror at realizing that she was the target of the nasty wardrobe malfunction trick can be empathized with, it does not take away from her act of stealing another contestant's outfit. What she committed can be best described as a foul, to use sports parlance, and the penalty for such an act is often suspension or stripping of benefits etc.
Being a stickler for what is right and fair, it was surprising to see Sonakshi ask Pari to enjoy her well-deserved success. While it is understandable that she did not berate her for her actions given the circumstances, labeling her success as well-deserved was rather unexpected coming from Sonakshi.
I presume this would anyway come up before Rohit, his family and also the organizers at some point in time. If it is going to get swept under the carpet or glossed over by Sonakshi's jasoosgiri, it would be extremely unfortunate, I really hope that does not happen.
In the face of Pooja's public humiliation, I found Rohit and Sonakshi's Tu Tu Main Main distasteful to say the least. Even Rohit's behaviour is somewhat understandable, although not excusable, given that he is deeply impacted by his sister's distraught state. He is not in control of his words, feelings or actions. He is lashing out at Sonakshi because he sees her as the cause of his sister's humiliation. However, like I said earlier, his manhandling of Sonakshi is completely inexcusable.
What surprised me was Sonakshi being so quick to take offence and making it about herself and her hard fought and won success. She is justified in standing up to Rohit and calling him out for the bully he is. But the justifications and explanations could have waited. She would have oozed class if she had wrapped her dignity around her like a cloak and left from there, after informing the family that she was absolutely innocent of their charges and hoped that when emotions had settled, they would be able to see the truth in her words. Instead of focusing on the young girl's pain, she played along with Rohit in turning it into an occasion for petty one-upmanship.
I guess such loud emotional dramas are what fetch TRPs but isn't this show falling into the very same trap as those shows it aims to take potshots at?
