She ditched him in worst possible way plus public humiliation for him and his family. People even suicide in such situations.

Earlier though I used to like Anurag but I wasn't a fan of Anurag or Parth because I used to find him boring n too goodie goodie n then cheesy. This Anurag 2.0 is a mixture of all. N Parth aces it. Such characters suit Parth better than goodie goodie ones imo. That pain in his voice n that intensity in his eyes n the transition of emotions...it is all so wonderfully done👏

Idk how to start. I was so engrossed in the act that I m not able to recollect what all happened. Anu sees the saree gifted by him in Prerna's luggage n feels a hope that she has not left him. But the honeymoon bed hurts him straight in his heart. He can't imagine his prerna can share a honeymoon bed with someone else, that too at the place where he had planned their honeymoon. He wants to finish it all at that moment itself. He puts the bed on fire n leaves himself in the fire to get burnt too. He could have left from there after instigating the fire, but he is so devastated that he can't even gather strength to come out of the burning room.

He gains back the consciousness n the first thing he sees is his prerna crying for him, dying to see him come to senses, happily hugging him out of relief when he is ok. Anurag doesn't know whether to believe his eyes or believe what has actually happened. He tries to push her away n leave out of the room, but can Anurag ever push his prerna away? He fails, and grabs her again, trying to understand what exactly happened that forced her into this marriage. He also apologises to her for marrying komo n leaving her n pleads her not to do the same to make him feel the pain. He believes she too must have some majboori that forced her take this step. Her silence hurts him the most. He almost gives up on her silent and twists her arms urging her to just say a word. But he is Anurag, who can't give a pain to his prerna even in his wildest dreams n if he does, he'll punish himself even more badly. He hurts his own hand for unintentionally hurting his prerna. He demands prerna's care. He wishes it affects her. He hopes something makes her share the truth with him.

Prerna pulls herself out because she wants to be a loyal wife and wants to make Anu hate her. How hurtful it is for Anu to see HIS prerna suddenly becoming paraayi...that he is not allowed to even touch her...that she is refusing his right to simply touch her!!! But he obeys her, her wish is his command. He stays at a distance. He kneels down in front of her. He doesn't even look into her eyes if that's what she wants. He begs her. He tells her he is as good as dead without her, that he can't live without her. Here he is not cheesy, but telling her the fact like what his life has become without her, he only survived, didn't live.

N finally prerna opens her damn mouth. Only to tell him that she loved bajaj, she never loved him, she played him, she manipulated him with her act of love...only to enjoy the power. She told him all that she was interested in was money. She made a fool out of his love. She insulted his feelings n he lost it. He did the unthinkable. He slapped his prerna! He himself didn't realize what he was doing. N the moment he did, the first thing his hands did was tried to caress her cheeks where he hurt her unknowingly. I absolutely love this thing about Anu. His brain is almost convincing him to believe what his eyes r seeing n making him react to that, but the heart doesn't let him. Prerna's facade makes him hurt her, but his love makes him put a dressing on the hurt. His brain wants to take a revenge from bajaj n earn prerna with money because she wants money but in his heart, he wants to gain back what belongs to him, he knows prerna is his, he knows she belongs to him, he knows she loves him too, he can sense that the reality lies under her said words. This brain vs heart battle of Anurag is the highlight of this track for me n I m totally loving it. Partho, ur eyes r love...they speak volumes!!!

I hope, as this track moves ahead, prerna understands that marriage in not an end of everything, that a marriage can be broken, that she tries on her own or with someone's support to find ways to come out of it, that she doesn't keep crying in the hands of destiny and brings her sass back. The way she doesn't give a rights of husband to bajaj in their privacy, I hope she doesn't give him the respect of husband in front of Anu too. I want this war to be in the open. I want prerna to shift her loyalties to the person she loves. According to me, ur loyalty lies with ur love, not Ur marriage, if it is not done willingly. I do not mean prerna should get intimate with Anu while being married to bajaj. But her priority should be Anurag over bajaj as the story moves ahead. Prerna must gather some guts now the way she did against komo. Anu should come out of his heartbreak n take actions based on the clues prerna will leave for him. I want lots n lots of monologues of Anu which r not just dreams or flashbacks with songs but where he introspects.

My baby boy has turned into an intense man!!! Go, win her back dude, change every destiny that puts prerna apart from u!!!❤️

IFLove just came across this thread. I feel like you have completely misunderstood Prerna in this track. So you think she said all the things that she said to anurag to be a loyal wife? She entered into this marriage to protect anurag and will stay in this marriage as long as it is necessary to protect anurag. None of this is for Bajaj. The same way that anurag didn’t insult Prerna or baby komolika or hurt Prerna during the precious track so that he could play happy families with komolika!

I do want anurag to fight back and no continue to believe the lies Prerna has told him. He knows or should know his Prerna and he needs to fight for her the way she fought for him during the precious track.

Every AnuPre topic has to be turned into a battle field with unwanted sacrcasm , digs and yes mocking and ganging up against the TM👏 ...and even after all this it is the AnuPre fandom that is obsessed with the iconic character 😆

What is even more funny is Bajaj fans out of all people giving morality lectures😆 when they themselves are supporting a morally corrupt man (trivialising something like blackmail and calling it a deal when Prerna herself called it a blackmail in one epi🤪) and passing it off as his respect for women😂😂 Bajaj from s1 is still hailed as some iconic pati even after he slapped Prerna for something as silly as telling him that Sneha is not his child and he better let her deal with her child the way she wants to....and this was after his so called redemption 20 years later 😆

The TM in entitled to her opinions and nowhere has she justified any slap.I am sure she is allowed to open topics appreciating the character and the actors performance.I don’t think there is a rule that one can appreciate some actions of a character only after criticising some other actions. A topic which was meant for appreciating Erica, another one for Naveen Babu and now this....same irrelevant discussions with the intent of getting the topics closed🤪

His anger and hurt is justified but him slapping Prerna and taking her at face value...believing that she did all this for money is unacceptable . This Anurag Basu is unrecognisable...he is not the same soft, gentle , sensible guy that was introduced to us. I hope they don’t butcher Anurag any further because I won’t be able to root for AnuPre then.

It’s the most of Anu fans who are confused between good and evil. When Anu insulted Prerna and married someone else dumping her in a brutal way, all were asked to look into his intention. Now in yesterday’s episode when Bajaj clarified his intention was not related to revenge but something else, the same people said doesn’t matter what the intention is, it’s the action that creates the character of a person and nullifies everything else. Well yeah.

If I remember correctly, the slap was something related to Sneha. I may have got the reason wrong but that is not even the point. If you go through the posts you will see that people who are taking digs at the TM for simply showing her love for the way Anurag loves Prerna are the same ones who always hail Bajaj as an iconic pati. There are many morality lectures too (incase you missed them)...asking how AnuPre fans can support the slap when the TM has nowhere justified the slap. 😆 In fact, except for one or two members , I have not seen anybody justifying the slap. My post was a response to all these.

In the last few days many topics made by AnuPre fans were closed because some people simply could not stick to the topic of discussion and started mocking and ganging up against the TM. It is like nobody can show any appreciation for Anurag or AnuPre without criticising them in the same post.Yeh kaisa rule hai bhai?😆 If Bajaj fans can open topics after topics appreciating him for being respectful to Prerna in spite of the things he has done then what is the big hoopla about one topic on Anurag and AnuPre?

@blackmail part: that was my whole point..deal for you..blackmail for me. Different people...different way of looking at things. Similarly the TM too is entitled to her opinion and can view things differently. The very first reply in this topic and many subsequent posts are all mocking her opinion and there are sly digs too. This is what I pointed out. It is fine to have different opinions but please put them across respectfully especially when the TM is someone who has never really crossed the line.😊

Just because Anurag’s slap isn’t being decoded and analyzed a million different ways, it doesn’t mean that people who appreciate his character (to an extent) are giving him a pass. Not everything is black and white, and that should be obvious to the people who are claiming that Bajaj is the pinnacle of flawed and grey character. In that scene, Prerna definitely instigated him until he was pushed over the edge. That was Prernas intention and she got the result she wanted. People lash out when they’re hurt, for example, Veena burning Prernas clothes, and Shivani yelling at Prerna, and why we’re seeing this side of Anurag. Simply stating that fact is not lauding Anurag for hitting women. Anurag shouldn’t have hit Prerna at all. Especially after he’s been emotionally abusive to her when he publicly insulted her and the cringeworthy Komolika track. But I have to admit, I think it’s sooooo hypocritical for one fandom to hail a character for not being completely negative or completely positive, being layered and “flawed”, but when we see Anurag going down that path (after being called boring so many times) there’s a problem.

And yes, Anurag has been shown to be a “hero”, so you can maybe argue that’d but he’s always been hot and cold. Naveen track where he was so observant, then when AnuPre got together he was so invested in their relationship, then Komolika times when he was an asshole and “ruthless”, then again engagement and pre-wedding, and then now. Honestly, in this track, I want Prerna to take a break, a break from all this. From the beginning of the show, she has been shown as her parents daughter, Anu's lover, Anu's wife, Anu's lover & now Bajaj's wife. This time I really want Prerna to seek herself out, prioritize herself for once, seek out her self-esteem that she looks in the form of validation from others. For once I want her to have her own self-interest but I guess that's not possible in this show. Prerna is a highly empathic woman & this at times come out as her greatest weakness because she keeps herself on pedestal for others without thinking rationally. She can't imagine her existence as someone who doesn't live for others & I want a little change in that.

Character arc is an important thing & Prerna deserves to get one now.

But like u said, this is too much to ask from the cvs of this show. So I m keeping my expectations low. Not respecting bajaj as a husband is also needed for her to stand up for herself. It's not only Basu's or Sharma's who have insulted her, it's bajaj too. At least some love was involved in Basu's n Sharma's case, there r no emotions involved in bajaj's case. Hence I want her to give it back to him first.

Thx for the post .i agree with you and DP. Slaps or any kind of violence can never be justified as there are better ways to deal with the situation . Period. But lets not ignore that anurag has lost everything n after so many set backs , he just lost whatever little sense that was left in him....this also , does not imply, that he is a repeat offender and retorts to violence when things dont go his way....i dont expect him to come around so soon and start thinking .... I believe its character building and not character butchering . He has been anything but a duh since komo entered their life..has been committing mistakes , sometimes sins like humiliating pre publicly not once but many times. So i dunno why and how would anyone keep him on a pedestal ..nobody did that infact he was bashed the maximum during komo 's time and rightly so..

Coming to that scene ,prerna wants him to hate her and she will say a lot of hurtful things to him to make that possible . But sorry ,i dont agree with the TM . This is anything but love .
