I am sad from yesterday, it seems the health problem which was there an year back seems to surface again. Have to undergo treatment again for few days. If it was for me then I am not worried but it is of my elder son. Poor guy does not have any bad habits but still.

Oh Padma, so sorry to hear this! Parents feel the most when their children suffer because we cannot share their pain. But what cannot be cured, has to be endured, so chin up, think it is a passing phase and hope he recovers soon and brings happiness to everyone. Some years ago, certain areas in our country was flooded. People were left homeless, with no means of subsistence. We all worked to help. We collected food, clothes ... But the state coordinated and provided help. Without it, I do not know how it would be possible to help people.

It's great to Madi that you've engaged to help. It's not a bit. You give as much as you can. I hope that the government will finally join. I do not know why they have not already done so. When the rain stops and the water is withdrawn, it will be even more work.

Nado, I wish your Government will extend it's helping hand to compensate for the loss of crops. Our state of affairs is different here, in some states, they are disbursing pension to even healthy and working youth to get their votes, and in some states they are distributing rice for 1 or 2 rupees, the same rice we are buying for 60-70 rs, spending the taxpayers' money like this and if need is there, they are ignoring the facts and refusing to help! The system is corrupt and the society is working on caste and religion basis. As Vibha said , the country is huge and the need is much more, govt is unable to provide help to the needy.

At present I am on the move, traveling to the first village. Massive erosions have been witnessed at various places of Jorhat and Barpeta districts. The Brahmaputra river at Nimatighat in Jorhat, the Dhansiri at Numaligarh in Golaghat, is flowing above the danger mark. OK friends will be back in the evening. Love you all.
