The writers have shown bits and pieces where we think they understand their own characters, give us glimpses of each of them at their best, whether happy or emotionally distressed and then snatch it from us in the same breath. What Nivi said to Prerna was believable. It was Nivi that suspected something might be going on between Anu and Pre from the start, she is the one who started warning up to Prerna seeing how good Prerna was for her brother. Now that Prerna betrayed her brother, Nivi also felt betrayed and she lashed out. That was interesting to watch. Honestly I’m not entirely let down by Nivi with Bajaj because Nivi doesn’t know who the freaks Bajaj is so obviously she’s not goin g to be presenting in a cool and collected manner. WE know how Bajaj operates, Anurag had done some research on him so he knows about Bajaj, but Nivi and Anupam do not. Them lashing out was a normal reaction, especially when you’re confronting a stubborn person, you tend to lose your own cool.
Then we have character like Veena, who’s always shown to have complete and utter faith in her daughter, curse her???? If Veena has stood her ground and was adamant about maybe Prerna must have had a good reason to marrying Bajaj then it would have been nice. That relationship has never changed, and the fact that now it changed when Prerna has 0 people on her side? It’s really upsetting. When Anurag was marrying Komo, he still had people telling him he was making the right decision, no matter how unhappy he looked. Nivi included. But Prerna doesn’t get the same care from the people SHE loves? It’s really heartbreaking.
However, having said that, why are we presented with this Prerna? Who relates to her? Who feels bad for her? Who believes in her love? Not me. I had made a post about understanding her sacrifice but I didn’t realize the execution would be so terrible. And just when I thought the writers gave us good scenes between Anurag and Prerna, they completely sidelined their growth for shock value. All those amazing moments before the days leading up to their wedding were so real, and however much people want to throw the word “lollipop” around, it was two people head over heels for each other. And all of that is gone without so much as a conversation between the two? Okay, right. Writers are freakin idiots who don’t know how to develop their characters well and give them honest stories.
Point is, KZK writers have 0 originality and no concept of character growth. I’m tired.
