And then a lover & a sister
But her priority has always been wrong.. in her book, even her child come last..
Bold - Nailah, it is not true that it is her weakness since she fell in love with Anurag. Instead that is Pre's core character that she will do anything for the people whom she loves. That's why she agreed to marry NB for her family and promised Mohini (the same day she was insulted) that she will bring back Anu at any cost. That's how strongly she loves her dear ones. But what makes that strong character her weakness is her tendency to hide things from everyone and her inability to view things apart from its face value. During NB phase, inspite of Anu trying to make her understand through several clues that NB is not the person whom she thinks, she was not ready to accept it, even after Anu met with an accident. Also, remember how she ran back to the mandap, when Anu & Shivi tried to kidnap her. Later, when everything got revealed right in front of her only, did she believe. Same in the case of Anu-Komo marriage. There were lot of clues to think that Anu would have did it out of some majboori. One strong clue itself was that if it was to get Chaubey's support for BP & BB, why couldn't Anu proceed with marrying Mishka, she being already engaged to Anu. Why did Anu have to marry Komo, about whom Pre knew more than what Anu knew. She didn't and finally a Vikrant had to come and help her to realise why Anu-Komo marriage happened. Another case is that of Mohini. Pre has seen how from the start Mohini used to insult the Sharmas; yet she believed that Kakima disliked her because of the misunderstanding that it was Pre who gave that poisonous Kada. Until she heard it directly from Kakima's mouth how much she 'hated' the middle class Sharma family, then only her tubelight got clicked. And now, in this Bajaj case too, Anu had already shared with her how Bajaj had their engagement pic with him and how Basu's were targeted personally too. Yet, Pre never was shown thinking of how this all can be part of Bajaj's plan. And as usual, without discussing with anyone and inspite of various warnings by Bajaj to be sensible while making deals, she agreed to his terms and conditions (though i agree she tried fight out initially evenif it was not convincing). In my thoughts i am thinking she atleast could have shared it with Mohini, whom when it comes to Anu is as selfish as anything and would have agreed to keep it a secret forever & Prerna could have been with less pain. But no. The writer, CVs and director in their interest to cater to their boss's wish to show only pain, pain and pain has shown no interest in bringing out a character growth in Prerna. Whoever thinks that Pre has proved that she can be sassy, i will say that makers have nullified all those points - the pandit, the dhaga marriage, the sindur - without which Pre would not have been that sassy Pre. Hence, to me Pre is still that naive, dumb GIRL who knows only to love, but hasn't yet learned any lesson from her experiences to make that character of hers more effective and strong.
