Btw, has Shaheer won any awards or has attended any ? Since the last two years, the number of shows that has gone off air, these statues have lost their sheen.

I saw the link on Bpanah # hence shared. However even on twitter no one looks keen to vote even for Shaheer. Situation is similar to ITV fav one liner

Yeah I guess maybe because everyone knows that these awards are to certain extent biased and they tamper with the votes.

Gold awards are by Vikas Kalantri and he is in Ekta's inner circle. So you can imagine...

And this award is vote based, so popular shows and popular leads with huge fandom obviously have an advantage. Which I think is true for even for non-voting based awards.

Here look at the best actor category - 16 nominations! They don't want to leave anyone out, everyone is nominated. It's not even based on performance, some are laughable!

As for the awards, Shaheer has had good choice of roles in his career but has not won many awards so far, which is unfortunate because I think he genuinely deserves more recognition.

Character of Dev Dixit in KRP was complex and unlike most ITV male leads it had so many shades, both positive and negative, gentle and aggressive with a huge scope to perform and Shaheer nailed it, he was brilliant as Dev! But it only translated into one lesser known AsiaVision award.

Same with Mahabharata. He excelled as Arjun, but no awards.
