Super 30 First Monday Business
Tuesday 16 July 2019 10.30 IST Box Office India Trade Network

Super 30 had a good hold on Monday as it collected 6.75-7 crore nett which takes its total to 57.50 crore nett in four days. The drop on Monday is around 40% which is better than normal but considering the huge Saturday growth a better hold could have been expected.
This is the problem when a film does not open too well as on Monday you are going to drop from that not so great opening number and its a totally different scenario if you drop at the same rate after taking an initial. Still the 7 crore nett number will do for the film and its a successful film though has some work to do to emerge a HIT film.
The first week is probably heading for the 75 crore nett which is a good number and then the key is that Friday number and the film must hold well on the second Friday. It will be huge plus if the weekdays can hold strongly at the 6-7 crore nett levels. The collections of Super 30 till date are as follows.

Top First Mondays 2019 - Super 30 Eighth
Tuesday 16 July 2019 11.00 IST Box Office India Trade Network

Super 30 had the eighth highest Monday of the year as it collected 7 crore nett and the drop of 40% is less than flms like Kesari and Gully Boy but that is a bit irrelevant as those films were coming of a boosted first day. The drop is more than films like Total Dhamaal and De De Pyaar De which had normal weekends like Super 30.
The appreciation of this film seems similar to De De Pyaar De though it should do better business as it opened better than that film. De De Pyaar De scored best in Mumbai and North and Super 30 will probably end up best in Mumbai and South. The film opened 50% better than De De Pyaar De but its unlikely that it can do 50% better business in the long run as it dropped 40% on Monday compared to the 30% of De De Pyaar De.
Kabir Singh and Uri - The Surgical Strike are the biggest HITS of the year and both showed extraordinary trending on Monday with the latter even going up. Below are the top first Monday collections this year with the drop from Friday in brackets.
