Rachna that is what bothers me the most the double standards. We got it in our previous show we are getting it now my question is why? And let us not forget this is just a show and in order to pander to maybe the fandoms of the male leads they are butchering the female and wouldn’t be surprised if in the future they butcher the male to pander to their so called Trp audience. For now Prerna is getting all the hatred why can’t she get a bit of understanding too that is all I am asking
Sabi....that was a good writeup you wrote about Prerna in Page 27.
During Naveen track audience could connect with Prerna more, because she was shown having self-talks, crying her heart out of being helpless etc. Yet, Prerna was bashed for not sharing or discussing anything with anyone.
Now, in this track, inorder to project Anu's broken heart more they gave lots of AnuPre phone scenes showing how excited was Anu. Parallely, as they wanted to show Mr.Bajaj in the picture, they gave those rasam scenes, especially the sangeet scene which was literally unnecessary. Instead of that, if they had bothered to show during that Pre-Veenama hugging scene, Pre in her mind asking Veenama to forgive her for all they will have to go through because of her, that would have made the audience feel bad for Pre. Also, after any of the AnuPre phone scene, if she was shown talking to her child asking him/her to forgive for hiding their existence from his/her father, that too would have uplifted Pre's character a lot. I am an Eri fan and subconsciously i can feel that helplessness of Pre & use to remind myself of how broken Pre was after the humiliation. Yet for the last 2-3 episides as a neutral viewer i am like 'Wah Bajaj, how patiently he is giving Pre time to settle down' and 'Bechara Anu, vo kaise jee lenge Pre ke bina'....That is how the viewers are getting affected for Anu & Bajaj taking them on their face values, when indeed all the sympathies has to go for Pre. And i will only blame the writers & the director for such a shoddy and careless execution, where they are taking the female character for granted to glorify the male characters. During Komo track they had given Anu enough scenes through AnuPam conversations and Anu's monologues, to show Anu's helplessness. Which makes me think that avoiding such scenes for Prerna was a deliberate attempt. Also i can't forget how one of the CVs & a Production person in the recent Hina visit segment was pleading with her to come back, as she was the one who brought TRPs. 😡 So when the makers including EK doesn't value the leads efforts, i am not expecting any improvement in the portrayal of Prerna's characterisation any soon, unless the TRP audience give them a reality check.
