I thought this would be a good place to write my thoughts on the Character Prerna Sharma hope that is ok?

Let us look at the Timelines of Kasautis in Prerna Sharma’s young life

1. Naveen lusting after her, Mohini plotting, No help from her brother decided to marry Naveen to save her home- Silly, impulsive and rash yes. However, understandable because when there is no way out- We tend to just act without thinking.

2. Anurag professes love to her, marries Komo, and insults her as a gold digger. She is pregnant with his child- Too much heartbreak yes, could she have walked away yes  but decided to stay and fight for her rights –wrong NO because she did not take the easy way out- Do most of us do it NO we tend to walk away rather than fight.

3. Anurag and she decide to get married, she wanting a social marriage a marriage that will give her the rightful place as his wife- realistic yes Not telling him about the child –realistic no, Did she have opportunities- yes. However, in real life do we always take opportunities, which pose itself NO- Realistic maybe, but wrong yes

4. Anurag is jailed for murder, the love of her life with no way out. Bajaj puts forth a proposition which she rejects but comes back to accept but not before trying to get out by blurting she is pregnant with Anurag’s child hoping Bajaj will back out  Impulsive yes- do we do things rashly to get out of a tough situation yes, does it backfire sometimes –yes. Did it Here- Yes

5. She runs to Anurag to the hospital because he is hurt- realistic yes, because when our loved ones are hurt we just don’t think, she listens to Shivi words and realizes maybe she was rash but would or could she have done anything differently NO because she certainly did not have any choice considering Mohini, Nivi all wanted a young girl to somehow free Anurag a girl who has no money, no power, no influence-

so with what she had she did what she could wrong maybe if we think rationally but are we ever in a rational frame of mind when we are faced with so many kasautis and your love is in danger- hmm NO

6. I read Anurag may accuse her of cheating , if he does do that what else is new didn’t he accuse of the same thing before, she fought the last time but this time I think she will not fight back and that is when I think the makers can start Bajaj and Prerna’s story because the story is about Anurag and Prerna but also about Bajaj if he is a parallel lead

Therefore, let us cut some slack for the poor, naïve, confused soul called Prerna Sharma for when faced with tribulations we may also not act rationally just as we cut Anurag slack during the Komo phase.

This AT seems to be a safe haven as looks like outside this Prerna is not going to get a break. It saddens me that we are so quick to jump to conclusions about people’s character as and when it suits us almost as if humans have to behave a certain way as expected, different rules for Men and woman and one action can cause us to slot people into pigeon holes, so we will hear Prerna is selfish, was always for money, does not love Anurag, easily moved on with B and a whole long list ,where were these people when Anurag married Komo, carried on with Prerna when married with Komo, was jealous of vibrant and the list goes on..and if Komo did not move on who knows Anurag maybe still married to her.

Human nature is so predictable and we are so tuned to have preconceived notions of how people have to behave especially women and then we speak about woman Empowerment!

Prerna is justified in trying to save Anurag but yes I don't agree to her not informing about her pregnancy when she had multiple chances. Also she is not weak bcoz I feel it takes a lot of courage to loose yourself completely for someone. But still what is the need for this honeymoon and all what is she expecting now? Her husband has forced into this marriage but she can't be forced to go for honeymoon or is it another duty in her loyalty book? I seriously don't understand 😒

Exactly Sabita .... rules are different for Anu n Pre ... i m amazed to see the posts against Prerna..how she betrayed ... characterless... khud ko bech aayi ... How can she be loyal to Bajaj ... n most of these posts coming from women....

I really don't know what to say .... nobody thinking what Prerna must be going through... nothing less than hell ... she lost her love ... family ... she lost herself for her love.... and is bound to stay with the person who blackmailed her ... on top of it she is pregnant ( somehow cvs remembered that 🤪)

I am in no way making excuses for any of her behavior and keeping the child from the father is wrong in a big way. But just because she decided to go away with B does not make her a vile person. I don’t think this is a honeymoon though it was probably written in news as such can it not be as simple as B going away and wants her to come with him. And who are we to say she should or shouldn’t go? And how will they move the story forward at this juncture if she stays back and all including her mother sister Anurag etc come and curse her that is one option or she can think of this as escaping away from all the hatred that she knows will come her way that maybe cowardice but isn’t it human nature to escape from problems to get respite.

Again don’t think I am excusing any of her behavior but just saying that we cannot expect humans to behave a certain way and Prerna just chose to behave this way just like Anurag chose to behave a certain way during the Komo phase.
