I really have a hard time with this whole dictionary definition of blackmail versus deal. And her having an option to refuse. Yes, theoretically, there is always an option, no matter in what desperate straits you are in.
In reality, not at all. Check with any police department, or a social service organization. Speaking as someone who has had some exposure to such things, let me assure you that what Bajaj did is text book case of what blackmail is.Blackmail is powerful because it is always subtle, always gives the victim the impression that they are in control and it is their decision, and almost always involves some threat to a close loved one.
And the most insidious aspect is that the blackmailer convinces the victim that they agreed to the agreement/deal. That they had a choice to walk away. THAT IT IS THEIR OWN FAULT they are in the situation they are.
You guys have no clue how many women actually end up loosing their lives because of this misplaced fear, self-blame, self-hatred, despondence. Some succumb to Stockholm syndrome where they are so brainwashed they start thinking their blackmailer loves them, and others try to commit suicide.
So forgive me for this. I have been a silent reader in the forum and have tried my best to not respond to this silly definition of "blackmail" which gets trotted so often. But I just could not help myself today
My stomach is clenched tightly just as I am typing this.
Well to start with, it’s great that you work with such people. 👏 So of course you would know better about this than me as someone who took/takes some examples around me who didn’t have to surrender to that distress.
However, as I told before, this was clearly not the case of open and shut blackmail case to me, considering Prerna did have choice to backout, she did have choice to pull other options, the family that she is attached to, the family Anu belongs to, is highly influential and filthy rich. So I cannot and will not compare her case to the many victims that you just mentioned.
Prerna had too many options to back out from the deal and she clearly didn’t utilize any. So yeah, I will not hold her high in this regard. Having said all that, the proposal at max i can term as indecent and out of the line. But there were ways to not become Mrs.Bajaj this time which she didn’t practise.

A normal person has faith in DNA results. But here even DNA results were cooked. So what can she have done? What power did she have?
If anyone had power, it was the Basu clan. But it appears their fancy connections are only for parties and jewelry competitions and showoffs. When there is trouble, be it Moloy accident or Anurag being framed, all their rich, fancy connections disappear.
It is left up-to a young, poor, connectionless Prerna to save him. And when she cannot, and has to accept a soul destroying blackmail, people say "it was her choice" "she took the easy way" etc.bottom line is this. Bajaj, for his own nefarious, dark schemes, sought to acquire Prerna as a trophy. And he squeezed her in every way such that she had no options left but take the deal, or see him hang.
And we are kidding ourselves if we think that had Anurag not taken Ronit's bait, things would not have come to pass. The man has shown the extreme lengths he goes to in order to get what he wants, including manslaughter. He would have found a way. He knew Anurag's weakness was Prerna. And he would have found a way to exploit it.
Bingo! Pre was practically stuck between a rock and a hard place. RB’s reaction to her disclosure about her carrying Anu’s child should have clued her about who he is.
By his own admission, in his own words, he said he gets a kick out of going in for the kill. Pre found out too late he will go to any lengths to get his way, even have someone set up to take the fall and plant evidence if he has to. Besides blackmailing he’s dabbling in criminal activity without getting his own hands dirty and using lawless kidnapper like Ronit to get it done.
If his daughter some day got in his way goodness knows what her plight will be. Ppl like RB get a high on wielding their power in unsavory ways, but truth be told, something in their life makes them feel powerless and helpless.

What about the umpteen ashirwads from Durga Maa to AnuPre or AnuPre’s double prayer to Durga Maa?
Only Mohini’s and Sneha’s wishes got fulfilled, argh!!
GOT me bht sari prophecies thi but unhone sirf ek hi puri ki- Dany will die before she ascends the throne she fought for.
Baaki sari gayin tel lene. Kch to aur hi gazab thi- jese ki Bran the useless ka King Banna.
Same thing happening here. Only lucky draw ashirvaads will be applied. Durga Maa too does lucky draw every now & then & picks her favorite.
Legally any action under duress is illegal. Had Pre said she was drugged or forced to sign the document by Komo the court would have ruled in Pre’s favor.
If Anu gets proof against RB he could use it. A wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband. Maybe that’s where Pre’s loyalty will be. She won’t support Anu in annulling her wedding to RB.
This whole track leaves a bitter taste.
A wife can't be forced- true. But Prerna herself can go ahead to get this marriage annulled but for that she must be willing to stop making a show of her weakness & choose herself over anyone else.
Only Prerna can do this not Anurag's Prerna. And there is a difference between being yourself & acting like you belong to someone. Prerna has restricted herself to being anu's Prerna when she is also Veena's Prerna & Prerns on her own rights.

Will this Pre test RB by taking a stand against him or will she allow herself to be manipulated yet again be it using Sneha’s need for a mother or something else. Too bad the kid is too young to know what her dad did on the eve of the wedding of a couple in love to bring her a mother. Will she come to know the truth when she is old enough to understand the lives her father screwed for his own selfish ends?

I have few questions-
1. The fire was in Bajaj's factory but police didn't visit Bajaj nor they summoned him for hearing for his testimony.
2. The case against Anu was initially of damaging Bajaj's factory but a phone call changes it to murder. Till that moment Ronit was acting on his own. He was acting on his own till the phone call where he asks Bajaj's help right after Bajaj has put his demands. Ronit himself is shocked & thinks that Bajaj is no longer interested in destroying Basus as per the latest episodes.
3. Police didn't try to retrieve CCTV footage from the murder location or anything that would have been other evidence. They didn't even seal the location, they didn't search for proofs that would be presented in court.
4. How did police know that DNA belonged to Ronit? Ronit's only family is his father & DNA should have been tested against his DNA. But his father was not seen anywhere. As far as I know, Indian govt doesn't maintain a DNA record of all citizens of this country. If so then how did the police confirm that it was Ronit's body only? Ronit's father wasn't informed of his only son's murder & he was the powerful politician.
5. Police dept has their own forensic dept. It's not private but govt. Every forensic test has to be recorded. So, a lawyer visited the forensic lab, bribed the guy & reports were changed. There is a video recording of every test. Then there should be two samples - one submitted by police & one by lawyer. The original reports are submitted by police, not lawyers & lawyers get a copy. So were the reports swapped by policemen or the judge. Every submitted evidence is recorded in the court & it's copy is mentioned in legal records for future reference. Ronit didn't have money but he managed to threaten the lawyer on his own & bribe everyone out.
6. Why was the body not sent for postmortem? Even with high fire, bones will remain or a severely burnt body. Post mortem report is the first document of every murder case.
7. Why was no investigation done with Ronit's family, friends, relatives? He was the criminal off the hook.
8. No court in the history of Indian justice system, would close a murder case in 3 days, even if the criminal had surrendered himself or had every evidence against him, no matter how powerful people are pushing it.
9. Till now Prerna didn't pay attention to any of these things.
10. Anu sneaked into Bajaj's house 2 times. Prerna thought that Bajaj would help her despite knowing he is the enemy. She didn't go to him as last resort but first. The moment murder charge is put first thing Prerna does is think of Bajaj.
11. Nivi suggeated to gain proofs but Prerna herself said that only Bajaj would answer her questions & she would fight with him. She took it all on herself even before responsibility was given to her. Why did she not think of dividing the work to gain something more of substance.
12. Prerna goes to an assumed enemy & culprit's house, she doesn't even think of using the opportunity to record the conversation of whatever crucial he may present. Bajaj did reveal some crucial information & a deal which would have provided a backing to Prerna to fight against him.
13. Prerna sees Ronit & goes to Bajaj again without recording the conversation.
14. She takes just one day to look for Ronit in the whole damn metro city of Kolkata. Why did she not mark the places he could possibly go.
15. She didn't reveal this whole damn thing to anyone. Suddenly she has the video recording which could have been easily retrieved by police itself, had she used a little brain. Anu didn't guide her at all from jail about what she could possibly do when they had all sort of intimate lovey dovey moments. Dude is in jail & he was thinking of romance & honeymoon. Are you kidding me?
16. On the final court hearing she suddenly gets up & reveals Ronit & Yeah good job. Everybody clap. Everyone forgets everything & Anu is desperate for god damn marriage. He didn't try to know how Prerna managed all this.
17. Prerna never tries to look beyond Bajaj's words on why he wanted to marry her. This is same woman who should have learned lesson from Navin's fiasco but nopes. She solemnly sweared thst she refuses to learn lessons & use them in future. She instead went to Bajaj to inform him personally of the wedding & how she wants it private. Meanwhile she tries to do no investigation on Bajaj or know things from Anu's sources which she did very actively for her sister & at Komo's time. She never tries to escape it or be a rebel. She remained morally uptight as if she was offered such a great deal and she had to be loyal from her side to watch her life getting screwed.
The conclusion- the whole track was ridiculous & a good joke to be honest considering all the points. Prerna fought mighty Komo with all her head but suddenly she lost all of it, while rest were reduced to clap & cry happy tears for her.
Everyone says bajaj twisted things. Everything was there right in front but you were so damn busy in love, romance & lecture that you lost your head & didn't see the obvious. None of them did. In real situations like that, your head works like a Ninja & doesn't think of romance & changing sarees every day. Bajaj used your dumbness against you & you gave it to him on a platter despite knowing he is there to screw you. But nopes, lecture se earth bi hil sakti h to Bajaj to kch ni h. Ek confundus charm se wo sab bhul jaega but prerna forgot she isn't Hermione & this is not Harry Potter.
In every point I mentioned, there was loophole that could have been used to completely overturn the case if one wants to be so objective about Pre not having a choice. Pre was no longer naive this time. She had experience fighting Komo & Ronit & some lessons from Naveen as well, a little from Mohini. But dimag lagana ki baat ni ho rhi is show mein wo bi leads ke liye. Wo kaam sirf villains karenge. Leada sirf royenge, lecture denge aur honeymoon phase me hi rahenge hamesha.
My rant is done now.

This post needs round of applause 👏👏👏
I’ve wondered if Pre’s mind was jumbled with Mohini telling her she can never be her bahu and Anu caught in a murder mess.
After everything she had heard about RB the man she called dark shadow why would she meet him without thinking things through and weighing her options.
Ppl with connections and clout like RB can create, distort, fudge evidence at a moment’s notice esp if they have corrupt police or law enforcement officers not to forget political connections in their payroll or pockets.
Let’s not overlook RB was all in ready to get on the warpath with Anu and take his revenge for his own reasons and on Komo’s behalf without the curiosity to know the other side of the story. Had he done his research right he would know that Komo was no angel. Instead he was ready to take Anu down on her behalf as well.
Pre’s response was neither fight nor flight but more like a fright response. She made an impulsive decision to take RB on, on her own and he took full advantage of her naivete and dictated his terms with no wiggle room. She was trapped from all sides.
Pre has plenty of time to rue her decisions but for now she may enjoy the trappings of RB’s wealth to distract herself from the fallout she left behind with Sharmas and Basus, leaving them to pick up pieces of their lives bec of her actions.

Bajaj didn't take responsibility of taking on Anu on Komo's behalf. Komo provided her with perfect chance by giving her property papers & he had to do nothing but sit while the pawns came to him themselves.
Look carefully at his game of chess.
He is black king. Anu is white king & Prerna is Anu's queen. Rest are pawns.
As long as queen is in the game, you have game in your hands since she is literally the most powerful while king is the weakest & most important. To defeat the king, rival attacks the queen first & takes her away. Queen's main job is to attack the opponent before it attacks her side & not just protect her king. Queen is supposed to be the strength but Prerna proved Anurag to be her weakness whose only goal is to protect Anu while Anurag was presenting Prerna as his strength who would attack his rivals for him by being with him.
Bajaj has attacked the queen & made Prerna come to his side thinking she would be able to protect her king the best in this way. Now in chess, that would endanger the rival king but here in reality, Bajaj made Prerna his queen against Anurag in the game in such a way that Prerna herself will keep Anu away from herself because she wants to protect him & there begins the long story of distrust between AnuPre.
What Bajaj doesn't know is the his daughter who wasn't pawn in this game but actually his real queen outside the game will change this game for him by turning him from a stone hearted cold man to softer side he hates to explore himself.
