My guess of Abir's logic:

Mish is jealous of the painting wali because she loves me. Initially she was in the first few stages of love where jealousy is a common factor since she had not realised it. But now, since she almost realised it after the accident, she doesn't want to face the reality that she loves me and hence she is avoiding the painting in order to keep her emotions hidden and intact. If she faces the painting wali (which she thinks is some other girl), her love towards me will come out easily. That's why she avoided it and ran away... but during that walk her frightening demeanour changed to a shy one indicating that she was experiencing the similar plethora of feelings that I experienced when I fell in love with her.

My problem is that Abir is not suspicious of the chor! He is always so alert and righteous in everything but what happened this time.
