Part 8
On the way back she was lost in deep thoughts, she decided to make one last effort to make akshat and antra together even when it was clear NO from akshat's side.
She arranged lunch dates, movie nights candle night dinner etc for both and avoided akshat royally, he complied with all the plans half heartedly but what made him upset was that she was doing all this has all this been done by his mother, he would have denied somehow but it was her.
It was antra and guddan birthday, both share same birth date but different personalities on is dominant and other is humble. It was 11.45pm when savitri devi along with other planned a surprise for antra , she didnt mention that it was her birthday also.
At sharp 12 guddan call her down and they gave her surprise. Cutting cake she fed akshat and everyone and than she remembered that it was her bday also.
" arey guddan main toh bhul gayi k tumhari bhi birthday hai aj" and she bought a small cupcake for her to cut. She reluctantly cut cake and excused herself.
Next day continued as per routine , akshan went to resturant for work. She was feeling low , was upset and gloomy all day. Akshat kept gauging her mood but stayed apart as she wished for. Almost at the end of the day akshat gave her the keys to room " guddan yeh lo keys, yeh room aek baar check krlena, main ghr k lye nikal raha hun antra is waiting, tumhe driver pick krlega" saying so he handed her keys, looking at keys her mood was further spoiled however after completing her task she went to the room, as she opened it, flowers showered over her. Akshat was standing a chocolate cake. She ran into his arms and hugged him " cake toh kaat lo " she wholeheartedly cut the cake and fed, it was her smile of the day, she hugged him again with such force that they both landed of bed " can you please cuddle me" akshat adjusted them on bed and pulled closer with his one arm wrapped around her shoulder and other on her waist, " you remembered" she exclaimed " aj tak itne saalon ko kabhi bhula hun jo aj bhul jaunga"
Flash back
Akshan were very close friends and used to spend loads of time together under the pretense of studies on one such fine evening he was asking her random when he came up with this question " acha yeh btao how do you want your better half to celebrate your bday" " well boyfriend ka toh nhi pta, par i want my husband to bake me a chocolate cake at twelve midnight and make love to me, i dont like material things" well after that akshat used to bake choco cake every year.
Flashback end
" but this time you are late, ab toh bas day khtm hone wala hai" " i know, it is because i was upset, par jis tarhan se yeh khubsurat chehra utra hua tha i decided otherwise" " i am sorry" she said hiding her face in crook of his neck " dont do it next time" " you know what is going around" " i know, par atleast let me know before hand" " i will" she replied. They laid there in solace of each other arm.
