How was your first day at office?

Naina's Boss came and started to scold her without explaining anything. I guess I was lucky with my first Boss. ☺️ He was a tall and handsome Boss. He was very impressed with my speech at the interview. So first day he explained that to other newbies who joined with me. Gave me higher position ........the boss of all my new colleagues who joined with me. Then he offered me a cup of tea and hand made cookies which was made by his mom. Recited a poem too. ☺️ Promised me that he will arrange special car facility just for me with driver and guard. And he kept his promise.

But my colleagues were not nice to me. They were taunting me. Saying "Pretty face wins the race." I had no idea that I was so pretty before that day. So I had to have my lunch alone in my own cabin. Although my Boss offered me to have a lunch with him. I was young and had not much idea about corporate world. So I went to office next day too. His elder sis came to visit me and praised me too saying my Boss just kept talking about me at his home. ☺️ Day after that day I heard he is single..............okay 3days later I quit my job. 🥺🤣

Okay I got phone calls later..........but at that time I was engaged with someone else..........so I had to say bye bye to my first job just after 7days. ☺️

Oh tall, handsome, and appreciative boss- my dear I had no idea they even produced those!

My first job was an intern writer like Naina. The difference: I was working for a magazine while being a 2nd year literature student. My boss was an absolute tyrant and I had a really bad first day. He scolded me the first thing in the morning because (like Naina) he caught me sitting idly on a busy workday. When I said I hadnt been assigned any work yet, he said you should be writing. Do it every second if you want to pursue this field. And then went on to make it very obvious for me that I was going to have a very hard time. He made me fetch coffee 4 times! That too not from the coffee machine rather from the starbucks around the corner. Panting, sweating in a very cold january I somehow survived the coffee runs only to have my ideas shot down in meetings because they were too raw and unpolished. I had never received professional training before so he worked me to the thins: getting me to read so many stories my head burst, pointing out my mistakes with a red pen (ew gross) and constantly putting down my writing. But after the first month there I finally wrote something he liked and he actually smiled at me. The story never got published though because he didnt think I was ready. I left the job after that, I wasnt getting paid enough and my finals were around the corner so I couldnt manage the stress of my job.

But I do feel he taught me the most lessons about life and writing in that first month. I never got a chance to go back because they relocated to another city. I am not sure whether I should be sad or thankful about that 😆

Hi All

My first day of office was more like college. My college friends had also joined along with me. It was cool and more like student life for first 3 months with regular assessments. Luckily no bashing or scoldings . We were taught patiently Since IT was booming then facilities very provided which made it more fun.

Later it was all work till late nights but kind of fun as it gave us lot of learning.

my 1st day was a law intern and I was lost the track of matters and also lost my way.. as in which court all of them were in... for an hr I was searching for my other associates and later I went to office,, my boss asked what happened in matter and i told him what happened,, he heard started laughing... he told me you need to be more careful...

My other associates came and asked where were I? and I told them too I lost track of everyone... they also started laughing...

After reading the first story I actually thought that this is gonna be another amazing one shot but it happened in real life
