Ariel is a freakin' mermaid. Could be of any race. Her race plays zero part in the story. Pocahontas's race plays the most important part in her story. So no Pocahontas cannot be played by a white girl.

Quite cool . Shraddha also speaks to her mom in a code by p in front of all the words ( something like that) so that her dad cant understand. I saw it in an old interview.
