Well my cousin bro also went to China for mbbs and now went to US for higher studies. Apparently it's a prestige issue and also his father has lakhs of money to spend.

Hey, so China's education is apparently less expensive than the private institutions in India to study MBBS; and Chinese government does give a lot of awesome scholarships.
