Erm.. okay so this is just a speculation and big if speculation. Could be one of the family members forced Bani to sign the divorce papers. Then Raghbir in one of his drunk moments accidentally also sign the divorce papers saying that they need his signature for whatever it may be; since most probably he doesn't even care about what he signs after Bani's death.
