Its an everyday thing in Delhi buses. My best friend has faced it so many times. She literally keeps a knife at hand for this. To see people defending that shit and comparing it to masturbation in private is so nonsensical.

I shouldn't even indulge shit like this but for your two brain cells let me just state this I like Ranveer as an actor yes but I have stated numerous times over the years that Shahid is a far superior actor. So don't reduce my actual problem with glorification with misogyny with some stupid shit like this and that person's fan. I ain't like folks here who think they are doing god's work defending their fave like they pay their bills or shitting on others actors just because. Never once have I shit on Shahid here but even he knows better am sure. He's good as Kabir and I would have loved if the movie was a hit based on lessons and repentance and redemption of Kabir and not because of glorification of masculinity. So keep your stanshit theory to yourself.

Aah and let me just say this just because. When the padmavaat episode happened, I was supporting Shahid. When peeps said Ranveer could do Kaminey better, I supported Shahid. Just recently when that Ranveer could do KS better I supported Shahid. Even Shahid fans on the forum would attest to this. What a bunch of bs.

Say all this to beautiful ness 1st who made that ridiculous statement knowing full well that is not true...this long lecture is the reason i wrote that comment and wasn't disappointed.

Guys do that even on the streets.I was waiting for a bus where a guy sitting at the bus stop started doing this. When I tried to move away he followed me that too while smiling. I had to find a traffic police to get rid of him. I have never been this freaked out in my life before this and this is not even the first time I have come across such lunatics. But never did I thought someone will follow me that too on a freaking street.

Do we need to support everything the movie shows because its fictional especially when such people are roaming around in public with absolute no fear in the world for anything? Doesn't supporting such acts give these people the validation they seek for their sick mentality ?

We have seperate blocks for men and women in buses . So, i have never seen it happening. That particular day was my unlucky day as I went late to the class and I was forced to sit on the only vacant place in the last benches.

I faced this when I was a school going girl. (In Delhi) I'm glad I went to an all girls college.

I can understand some members getting defensive if they're thinking we mean to generalise all Indian men like that. No we do not generalise. We are not saying all Indian men are like this BUT there are Enough men for it to be a problem. I know some really wonderful men in my life but I have also encountered some really cheap ghatiya @_##-#$&!@# kind of men too.

And I believe movies DO have an influence on people. So saying that it's just a movie so ignore it is not justifiable and we have every right to voice our opinion if we find the movie problematic.

With Kabir Singh, its more of a celebration of an absolute trash of a person and glorification of him in some godly light, even more so than influence. Certainly it tells men these vile things he does gets a pass and gives them a pass because it's oh so heroic and edgy and example of a true man.

This! And not only with abusive bfs. Domestic violence amongst women in India is so rampant but only fraction reported because most women feel like it's okay for a husband to beat them to keep them in line.

You're right. In words of this moronic loser lakshay it is cool or stud like to behave like this.

What can I say...I have lived in Delhi all my life. I have long stopped having any expectations from people. It's sad and scary.
