MUMBAI: Here’s sad news for all Disha Vakani fans!

Speculations related to her return in the show have been doing the rounds for quite some time now.

However, as per the latest development, TellyChakkar has learned that Disha won’t be returning in the show.

Yes, it looks like Disha and the makers at Neela Telefilms could not come to an agreement. The production house has not agreed to the demands put forward by the actress.

Hence, Disha will no longer be depicting the role of Dayaben in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The casting for the new Daya has begun.

For the uninitiated, Disha went on a maternity leave in 2017, but after that, she hasn’t returned to the show. The reason behind the delay was apparently that her husband wanted her to take care of the child, but some reports stated that she wants a hike and a few other conditions to be met.

We dropped a text to producer Asit Kumar Modi, but he remained unavailable for a comment.

Well, Disha will surely be missed, but as they say, the show must go on!

We all know that TRPs rule the roost. At least, they brought in one major change rather than changing the storyline every week 🤣

Shrenu and Zain are apparently sworn off enemies. One feels the other has taken away everything from their life and hence, hatred that will eventually turn into love

I have no issue with a woman marrying her brother-in-law, such as cases where a man marries his brother's widow, which I find is quite an honorable thing to do, or even if maybe a woman's husband's leaves her and her husband's younger brother decides to marry her, but in this case, a man marrying his bhabhi who married his brother only for revenge and hurt his brother and family etc.... Nope! It makes no sense. You would hate and refuse to even acknowledge the person who did that to your sibling and family, let alone fall in love with, marry and bring them back into the same family as bahu. Kabir and jhanvi being dushman is what makes sense here.

I haven't watched the show, a few clips here and there. Seems like makers changing Zain and Shrenu's character's relationship to something other than they initially intended will leave a sour taste for many viewers.

For me, Zain and Shrenu are the most good looking actors in Telly and they did well their old shows. Makers should have started with this from the beginning.
