Shahid was good in Fida which was his second year in the industry. He had 2 releases in 2004, 3 in 2005, 3 again in 2006 ..and by then he got Vivah which was a blockbuster. Shahid cemented his position in just 3 years. After Vivah came JWM and 2 years after that Kaminey...we know the rest.

Ishaan is not on that level because he does not have the full pckage that Shahid has. Ishaan can act and dance but thats not enough. Thats why he is not getting any movies. You need much more than that.

Ishaan just doesn't have the looks of a quintessential bollywood hero. You need to have mass appeal if you want to work in mainstream bollywood.

Just like there is dearth of stories for matured stars (Khans), there are no good teen age rom com stories either.

Salman, Amir both looked equally young (or younger) in late 80s, early 90s. But there were many teen rom coms then. Now hardly any.

So true!! I miss silly rom coms from Bollywood!! I guess teens today are wiser than we were...they won’t watch silly rom coms anymore lol! I think they like dark stuff!!
