I am fangirling over his punchlines and oozing charm, and style and attire and shit, it's all awesome. But then, I fell for KSG coz of the sheer brilliance he brought to the screen. And he's capable of that and more. But, but, that's possible only if they drop this Bajaj legacy. So, in Season 1, Bajaj was introduced as a character, and then he rose to prominence because of his characterisation and the actor's portrayal etc. And became iconic.

They are burdening this new character with that legacy, without realising that Season 1 Bajaj became legendary because of the acting and character and not coz it was deemed legendary.

Here Bajaj's character is already deemed awesome and iconic, and that's how they have been promoting the character too. Bajaj does this, Bajaj does that.

Digressing a bit here, if you watched Padmavat, I had a similar issue with Ratan Singh's character coz he was deemed to be powerful and brave coz he was a Rajput. Something similar could have happen here if they aren't careful enough. Anyway, let's give it some time and see. They'll have to add some layers, right now it's just the business side.

So I waited for bajaj.,because bajaj gave a very different dimension to the previous season...but here the team cannot separate anupre and establish prena and bajaj's storyline as it may turn nothing but a shatter!...also they can't put away ksg as just a villain without touching the different surfaces of bajaj !! So what shall they do...they have to butcher some character and that's going to be prena this time as anurag seems to be very positive this season..

So as you said it's very difficult to go ahead with thier older version of the story as well it might be foolish too...but if they don't move on then it's high time to close the show as the cant .as well.as AnuPre cannot be explored more as they are done already...

But by the way they are portraying bajaj I feel they are not going to justify him!! I had this fear from day 1 I came to about ksg as bajaj! They need to mellow down bajaj and make anurag / prena do mistakes so that people could see a better bajaj..if not then bajaj will become a joke this time and they should do it in the given frame of time as ksg won't extend his contract if his presence in the show is not promising!! But anupre!!!

i think he knows the state of itv. Ksg wasn't really away from the entertainment industry. There will be exit clauses in his contract.

Kekta changed 90% content in the history of Indian Television. There were many iconic shows which no one has any clue about. Especially 90Ish or 80s era. Wish hotstar get telecast rights and upload these gems on their platform.

These days everything depends on ratings. Justifying a character is the writers call of duty and they are restricted in many ways .

More or less sudden changes in character or storyline is very common. Definitely when one signs Mata's projects, they go with no expectations.

Yup..you are 100% correct..I think we should keep our Hope's very low as anything and everything is possible in ektha's show.making money is different and making it by producing shows with quality is different..

There were many stories where the fl would marry several times in ektha's show.,but do u think the same trend might work this time..as an audience of 90's and 2000 I wanted something different though I enjoyed most of ektha's show..may be after watching ghsp my choices became different!

Multiple relationships unless the writer provides a reason to do so. From 2008 most of the producers have given their viewers a reason to believe that first love is forever, eternal factor. Forever Romeo and Juliet. If Bajaj marries Pre, it is gonna b a new trend, What about Anurag Basu ? He has do something heinous or RB hates disloyalty, typical Mills and Boons style protects P by giving her child his name. Cliched route

Or since RB is ruthless, he leaves no choice for Pre and she given in to matrimony.

I remember the days when my mom saw kzk with anticipation that Onu and Pre will unite, ..8 years of loyalty to Season 1, i got some consolation for my frustration as Kish Desh mein rehta hai mera dil came by . Mata and her tribe made our choices different. That is one constant which has remained.

wow, how I missed this thread till now... very good discussion happened here so far. I cannot put my thoughts in words like how you people described here... I just want to say I agree with most of you... Ekta really lost her magic ...

I agree with you ... And in season1 AnuPre did reunite, there is a reason why Ekta had given all the negative characters to be Anurag's wife, he was never meant to be in love with anyone else but Prerna. Mr. Bajaj was happy with Prerna but till the end he always knew that Anurag had made bigger and greater sacrifices to unit Prerna and Bajaj and also never expressed it. No matter even if Anu is called spineless or uncool but he was the greater human being in the story, he repented and served for prerna's happiness all his life for his one big mistake which was by the way heavily influenced by Bajaj, who knew that Prerna was Anu's wife, prem's mom and still wanted to win her , more than love it was his ego that a bankrupt and spineless Basu won his priced possession and he wanted to get her back at any cost, and he did not prove to be any better, he slept with meneka's sister and made a kid after marrying prerna and claiming to love her more than Anurag 🤣.. At least Anurag slept with is married wife Komolika, but Bajaj as usual was cooler and richer so had to sleep with meneka's sister in an ONS and he was still hailed as the better hero for Prerna because ITV is twisted. Anyways, KZK1 was heavily messed up, but in KZK2 it is obvious that they are going to repeat the Prerna Bajaj marriage track and once again put Anurag under the bus, do not expect the writers to justify their own writing because even if Bajaj said that he likes only loyal wives, he will not think once before forcing Prerna to marry him and making her disloyal in front of the society, especially when she is pregnant (hope writers remember it)
