The story of these two sisters is that they each move towards each other to be a mixture of both. To that extent I don’t find Prerna as being identical to either sister but a mix of both.

I am in a true minority in this forum as someone who does not find prerna lacking character or self esteem or individuality. I find her full of it and to be honest can’t ecen relate to people when they say this. Do they mean and doesn’t have the character they want her to have or the character of Prerna 1?

She is all sensibility in that she is emotional about how she chooses her degree subject. But she is sense in that she realises that the way to help her father is to study a useful subject which she can use to get a job. (She doesn't have the privilege of getting an education in London or of potential excelling in subject she actually enjoys, but she still works hard and makes the best of it)

She Is sensibility in that she tries to help her friends who want to run away get married irrespective of the effect it has on her but she is sense in that she stays up late at night to help her mom with her business in a practical way. (She literally dragged anurag to help her while his preferred option is to sit on the sidelines being uninvolved. This is not the sign of weak girl)

She is sensibility in that she decides to marry Naveen to help her family from being kicked out of their house knowing her own brother will do nothing to help (similar to the sacrifice anurag made for his father’s business) because it was a proposal brought by Mohini but she is also sense in that she tried to get moloy, sid to help.

She is sensibility in that she will put up with Mohinis drama to save her relationship with anurag but sense in that she will not care when Mohini asks her to wear the saree given by her rather than her moms or. I i insults her mom. (Compared to anruag who will find a middle ground but it will always be to protect his mom, who faults he cannot see)

She is sensibility in that she loves anruag and is willing to sacrifice for him but sense in that she won’t give up what she wants or thinks she deserves when he dumped her for Komolika.

So yes I would like to keep seeing prerna grow and experience new things. But I skin see this great lacuna in her that others do that bajaj can fill.

(I have compared her to anurag above bcos I don’t know what bajaj’s character is and whether he has any sense, individuality or self esteem. In my experience in real life the biggest show odds and the ones with the least self esteem.)

I'm literally going to second everything you've said because I'm also in that minority in the forum and everything you've said is testament to the fact that she is in fact full-fledged, individualistic and worthy. And just to add to that, she gathered all the intel on Komolika including CCTV camera footage of her poisoning the halwa, questioned her statistics on Basu Publications' status and saved the Basus from inevitable doom, all while doing it in a classy way that prevented the guests from knowing what was wrong and saving the Basu reputation. Moreover, in yesterday's episode it was she that requested they pull footage from the Gujral textile offices because that way maybe they could see what Bajaj looks like. Despite Anurag keeping her in the dark and handling the stress of this situation very poorly she's been stepping up and reminding him that if they tackle it together they're unstoppable. She's been a badass from the beginning. Yes, things came her way and she took decisions that maybe none of us would take but she did them with the best intentions and saves Anurag as much as he saves her but gets none of the credit. If Bajaj is as smart and observant as they're attempting to portray him, then he will recognize that and try to harness her intelligence from a professional perspective.

Sacrificing her marriage to Anu in the face of RB’s aggressive takeover of BP makes AnuPre a weak adversary. If Pre on the other hand has her own conditions and keeps it on the business front with no personal connections to RB that would make for an interesting track. She can care for Sneha but still keep her relationship with RB as an employee and still stay in touch with Anu. RB will see a loyal Pre who loves Anu.

Pre could show RB that he’s not entitled to everything he demands if RB develops feelings for her. Love is not demanded and what better way to remind RB than when it comes to the matters of the heart all the monetary wealth in the world can’t get his love reciprocated.

Pre could show RB that a player can also be played and be on the receiving end of rejection that he dishes out.

Very aptly put! Exactly my thought process, but sadly, as much as my experience goes with Ekta shows, it would take the redundant route of cringe-worthy forced marriage track. How sadistic they can be? Sigh😒

First of all, I appreciate your earnest passion with which you have explained Prerna and her every action.

I would definitely agree with you partially as I see her a mix of naïveté yet with an extremely high sensibility and sensitivity!

It’s a bit too far fetched for us to believe EKta shows really care about not treating women as doormats but still Prerna like her previous season has been written with flair and compassion. You already stated everything which is interesting and acceptable. I will add a dimension to it.

To all those who think she lacks self esteem, I would reiterate again- Oh, the things we do for love!

When in love, you tend to view your counterpart with rose tinted glasses, there’s no ego, there’s nothing that is hidden in true love and hence, complete negligence of self automatically happens. Don’t we say - Pyar mein andhi ho gayi hai? Yes, people turn blind as a bat in love.

It’s important to remember, we are third party and not in love with Anurag! How will we with a logical mind understand the complexities of an abstract feeling called love? So, before cursing Prerna and reprimanding her for her blind love -her so called self esteem issues- let’s stop for a while, introspect and ask ourselves. Have we ever been in an all encompassing love? Haven’t we experienced blind devotions to our lovers? Having said that, the story progresses when one opens the eyes and sees beyond love. That’s the progress of lovers. That’s an individualistic growth. She is in love. Let’s really cut her some slack. She will evolve as a woman and that will be a true delight to watch.

Totally agree and thank you for adding examples that I didn’t.

I feel like everyone says repeats what the promo tell them to say:

- bajaj is cool and handsome and smart

- anurag is good and smart and perfect

And they may be all or some of these things but like a lot of amazing women who form a part of our daily lives prerna just gets on and does stuff, is willing to accept fhe things she doesn’t get right ....but that’s no excuse to call her lacking in self esteem or individuality or character.

Even in am wondering the same thing, what is about prerna that will make somebody like bajaj ga ga for her. Why would he force her to marry him. I have not watched this season very regularly.

Have they shown sneha ? And prerna’s bond with her?

Yes. But whether RB himself saw them together is unknown.

@bold exactly having been young and in love, I understand prernas desperation, but what disappoints me is the lack of growth and the lack of assertion Pre has in their relationship.

I believe people do learn from their mistakes, so Pres totally lack of growth from this harrowing experience and the trivialising of her pain by the makers disappointed me.

Having said that, I'm happy pre asserted herself today and told Anurag physical intimacy can only happen after marriage.

Edited ekta should be thankful to us for finding depth and maturity to a prerna who is written solely on the basis of trps.

Yes that was just the beginning. But the funny think is that the makers are so inconsistent with their writing , that it’s hard to take them seriously . Just a few months back, with the total disregard of the situation they were in, they consummated in a hut🤦🏻‍♂️Now it is ironic and hypocritical to see her act like this
