my grandparents got married in a church and never registered their wedding under the civil marriages act .... but when my granddad died my grand mom still got all the property that wasn’t already in her name as his wife ... so that must mean it’s legal right?

Legal marriage is just done to make it on records so that later can be used for official purpose , As far as you are able to prove that you are married that what matters .

If the marriage happens as per hindu rituals then as per law it's a valid mrge. Many people don't know this. It is not considered as null and void as per law . And in case they want to separate, Divorce is necessary. So in KZK, Anu, komo mrge is legal. But donno if CVS ever know this.

Yes 😅.. but for the Indian law proofs like marriage invi card, marriage pics and 2-3 witness of people are enough . In any case if husband or wife try to marry another person without registering first marriage the other partner can file bigamy case. For divorce also , these proofs can be shown and go for divorce if not registered.

& because ppl misuse these things register marriage is necessary

because it can be fake

so according to law anukom & anupre r not legal one

but yes accirding to hindu rivaaz pre is his wife & kom as second wife which automatically nullified
