Why Does Katrina's Success Hurt?

I will never understand why it bothers people so much when she does well? Its almost like people have stocks to sell if she fails or something lol.....even in Zero the forum was so hesistant in giving her credit? aakhir problem hai kya?

Just like how u have a problem with alia may be ? And attribute everything to nepotism ....hehe

Hurts who? I don't think she's important enough to hurt others by her success

Hurt whom? I only see people either happy for her or indifferent but no one is hurt or upset about it.

What ? Even if alia does well it’s Bothers u just cos she is an insider? Then the same implies to kat as well for those ,who don’t like her and bothers them as well

Unfortunately it's a case of good old fashioned "prejudice".

She can't speak Hindi blah blah blah... I challenge any transplants in the US to speak English perfectly with no accent.

Indian English is an actual thing. English is no longer just a British/Australian/American variety. Indian English with its own accent is an actual thing. One doesn't have to speak American English in America. Its great if they can but in a very diversified America it's no longer a need. They can speak Indian English and that's valid. But there's no British Hindi. One has to be speak Hindi,Bihari and literally all regional languages in a specific way. Katrina has had enough time to master it and I think she is finally sounding not-firaang.

But even if I consider your point Indian accented people pick up British and American accents like it's no body's business in a matter of months. Our ever thriving BPOs are proof of it. They train in months and pick it up because their job is on line. Something she hasn't completely achieved in more than a decade. A speech coach of Hindi should be on the list of priorities of an actress in a Hindi film industry. Guess hers was not. Strange anybody would defend this lol.
