I think I can write an entire thesis on that subject.
Anyway, I'll try to keep it short. I see Rishabh Bajaj as ITV's greatest ICON. A character that is the sinner and the saint, the beloved and the betrayed (Borrowing Kamla Das's brilliant lines yeah). He has been everything from a heartless man with mysterious charm who would treat the rest as insignificant beings and walk over them with zilch regret to a man who devoted his whole existence to a woman he so passionately loved.
Rishabh has been everything...be it a heartless businessman, a jealous, insecure, and possessive husband, a cunning schemer resorting to borderline cruelty, an obsessed one-sided lover, a great friend, a passionate lover, a crushed and betrayed lover, a father who showed the world that the deepest ties may not necessarily be blood ties, then a father capable of sacrificing his love for the sake of a child that wasn't his, a man willing to accept his fiance's love for another man and patiently waiting outside a house with a hopeful heart, a man with solid self-control who wouldn't touch his wife without her permission to someone who would jump in to romance watching his wife tie his tie, a flirtatious husband to a cold one capable of ignoring your very existence, a lover capable of walking out of a relationship he literally worshipped, a wounded man willing to avenge the wrongs done to him...a man with too many layers and conflicting shades.
Ekta might alter his looks, outfits and the BGM. I'd be okay with that. However, the USP of the character shouldn't be changed. RB is meant to be a man possessing multiple layers and shades with certain shades overpowering the rest depending upon the situation. Moreover, his deep love for Prerna should remain the same. These two things define Rishabh Bajaj.
Why don't you put this perfect description of RB in the thread "Pls Provide Story Synopsis"? I am sure nobody can beat this.

Nope. It's after the second 20 year leap. Both RB and AB fall into the water and Prerna shoots a crocodile to help AB in rescuing an unconscious RB. Then RB briefly gains consciousness and calls Prerna affectionately. That scene takes place just after his call.
I've always loved the umbrella scene. I saw it for the first time in Prerna's flashbacks. Your description urges me to revisit it right now. Kzk before the full-fledged PRB track has so many underrated scenes having subtle hints of the future ties.
Right got it now😊
I have a question regarding that track. Y was RB just shown in just 1 grey suit for most of the scenes? Did they finish acting out those scenes in a very short span of time? Throughout the serial, he was impeccably dressed and he made the 3 piece suit a fashion statement. So why not invest the same way towards the end?
Btw, did you revisit that scene and relate to what I was trying to point out? On hotstar its S9 E17 from 14.40. Just the way he says Kaise ho tum?
Very true, their relation was evolved through time and hence it was forged so strong that nothing could uproot them. All the underrated scenes have the nuances that actually complete a perfect relationship. They started poles apart but their relationship was an effortless match as even subconsciously they understood each other to perfection. And I am not considering the great fights here as that would need another time to discuss.
Going down the memory lane
I am confident now bajaj 1 and bajaj 2 will have there own flavor and since Karan wanted this character so badly and is willing to play it with all he got I am sure this character is safe and sound
Now I want to see how rishabh and prerna of new version will look together. By the way new rishabh has said sorry but he will come between anurag and prerna already apologize 😆
Yeah, and I am quite looking forward to it🥳

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,
Its ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.❤️
Awesome lines! You have written them?
And, the Instagram link is your account?
This hug was so full of pain. She was trying to tell everything that she could not through her words.
And soon after, the night when she holds him from behind and says mein aapse alag nahin hoon. And then she holds RB when he is about to leave the room. She literally clutches his wrist and givs him the much needed support when RB is shaky. This role reversal between them based on the circumstances was the hallmark of their relation. Both were equally strong to support the other in time of need. Again, when RB is fast asleep she pulls his hand still closer and says mein bhi apse utna hi pyar karti hoon jitna aap mujse karte hai.....that entire night sequence was something truly spectacular acting by RR-ST.
In the morning he was so mad at her for shutting him out and misunderstanding that P loved AB and not him! But just couldn't bear the pain she was going through and then the way he ran to see her at the last moment before she was taken away to jail. He was a broken man in all ways and lost to life.
After the 5 year leap when P is about to be released from jail, I recall some great dialogues. Her inhibitions and excitement to meet RB after such a long gap. Mein kaise dekhungi un aankhon mein.....She understood so well how he must have felt with this step of hers and the pain that she must have caused to him with her decision. And she was ready to face his wrath but alas! she had never thought he would walk away like that from their lives.
Even I wonder what happened to his dressing post his return. 😔Originally posted by: saps.156

Yeah I revisited that scene and was touched by the tenderness in his voice. Even the background music was pleasing to the ears. In this scene and the umbrella scene outside the temple, one can notice how desperately he wants to comfort her, but is severely restricted by several invisible shackles. I hated how Prerna was deserted by her so-called love and family during this stage.
The relationship took a long time to develop. No wonder it braved the worst storms with its solid foundation.
I loved Vishakha's reaction when RB returned after meeting Prerna. She couldn't bear her Dad being humiliated by dumb losers. RB's explanation in Prerna's defense was heartwarming.
