An update is due for this one isn't it? But I'm stuck with some stuff and the show is awesome and went in another direction altogether that I somehow wasn't able to write. :)

But since you guys are awesome and I already had a vague idea as to where I wanted this story to go here's a promo!

**Promo**

"Abir" Mishti called, only to be met by silence. She stepped inside his room tentatively. Being in the Rajvansh house was wierd. If not for the NGO kids she never would have stepped in, and Abir had been unreachable since morning. God knew they tried.

His room was dark, "Abir" she called again, her eyes searching. Then she saw him. Well, his silhoutte. He was standing by the window, deep in thought. One hand was above his head, holding the window pane, and the other clutching the curtains. Her eyes automatically travelled to his hand and the way they held the curtain with a force. And she knew. She knew something was bothering him She was next to him in a flash.

"What's wrong" she asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

At her touch, he whirled around and threw his arms around her.

"Mishti - baba"

"WHAT THE HELL, KUHU?" Mishti snapped, throwing her pillow to the ground and sitting up in her bed, completely annoyed with the girl who was dancing her heart out. VERY LOUDLY.

Kuhu whirled around to face her, all smiles and to Mishti surprise answered her chirpily, " mishtiiiii" she shrieked happily, running over to her side and happily plonking down beside her, "Kunal asked me to accompany him to check locations for our company's packages. Meeee."

"What?!" Mishti exclaimed, reaching out to the bedstand for her glasses. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, " and Kunal has time for jobs which could be delegated, and he is doing this with you?!" She said without thinking, trying to make sense of what she had heard.

Kuhu seemed utterly unfazed, "yes" she beamed, "and nothing you say or do is going to spoil this for me" she announced, springing up from the bed.

"Kuhu - woh, I didn't mean to" Mishti muttered, following kuhu to the dressing table, watching kuhu as she retouched her make up, she said carefully, "you like Kunal, don't you?"

Kuhu's hand stalled near her eyebrows for a second before she continued applying her brows, "yes" she replied unabashedly.

Mishti smiled, "and Kunal?"

Kuhu turned around to face her, "woh mujhe nahi pata. All I know is he could have asked anyone to do this. But he asked me. And he could have sent anyone with me. But he is coming. That's enough for now"

Mishti pressed her lips together. She wanted to tell kuhu not to build her hopes up. She wanted to tell her to tread carefully. But she bit back her words, "kitne din ka trip hai?"

Kuhu looked at her through the mirror, a huge smile spreading across her face, "4 days. 4 amazing days. Hashtag best days of my life"

Mishti felt her own eyes widen, "what?!" She exclaimed surprise, "and everyone at home is ok with this?"

At that question, kuhu finally frowned at her, placing her kajal down, she turned around and fixed Mishti with a glare, "Haan. Tujhe kya? Vaise bhi, I have told mama how I feel"

"WHAT?" Mishti shook her head, "you - told - Varsha aunty - that - you - like - Kunal-and-ghar-pe-koi-drama-nahi-hua. Unbelievable!"

Kuhu rolled her eyes, "if you weren't moping around for the last week, you'd know" she snapped

"I wasn't moping around" Mishti retorted immediately.

"Yes you were" kuhu shot back, "vaise ek baat batao hashtag drama queen" she said, planting her hands on her hips, "it's been 10 days since your courtship ended. Why are you still moping around? Don't tell me you miss Kunal" she finished pointing an accusatory finger in mishti's face

Miss Kunal?

"Kunal? No. Abir" Mishti muttered absentenmindedly

"ABIR? You miss Abir?" Mishti's eyes widened as kuhu looked at her curiously. Damn it, she had said that out loud.

"Woh- Haan, important work in the NGO. and he hasn't been reachable for the last week" Mishti muttered hurriedly, hoping to cover up her earlier blunder.

Kuhu's eyes narrowed but thankfully she let it go, "hashtag whatever" she muttered, before grabbing her bag and rushing out of the room.

Mishti sighed, yeah she missed Abir. After their talk in the park she hadn't seen him. And it had been one week already. She had tried calling the rajvansh house, but everytime she called, it was Meenakshi aunty and she didn't think aunty would like it if she enquired about her son. She had tried reaching out to Kunal, but that hadn't worked either. Only after Kunal's curt reply to her SMS did she come to know that Abir had left the house again. And this time she was the reason.

Mishti removed her glasses and wiped her tears as she thought back to that day at the park when Abir had pulled her in for a hug.

Mishti froze as Abir pulled her into his arms. She had been in his arms before - when they had gone paragliding together but she hardly knew him then. But today, today he was her friend.

Friend.

"I'm really sorry" Abir muttered. His breath was hot against her ear and that sent a tingle straight down her spine.

Damn it, Mishti, what are you thinking? Irritated with herself, she placed her arms against his chest and pulled away

"Mishti" Abir pleaded, looking at her.

Whatever she had to say stayed in her throat as Mishti felt herself being drawn to his eyes.

Quickly looking away she muttered, " I need time"

" Ye - " Abir started to stay. She turned back to look at him in the eye, "away" she managed to say before standing up and walking away

She had taken a couple of steps before Abir's voice called her back, "fine. But remember I'm always here. All you have to do is ask" he said.

Yes, she had been the one to tell him that she needed time to think. She had wanted to sort out her feelings, and get back to living a normal life. But she didn't mean for him to go wandering again. And now he wasn't here when she - the NGO needed him- Mishti corrected herself.

She bent down to pick up the pillow she had earlier thrown down, "Abir" she muttered through clenched teeth, chucking the pillow on the bed.

"Bahut violent type ki ladki ho yaar tum" Abir's voice crept up in her mind.

Shutting his voice out she turned around, irritated with her life and with him.

"Give life a chance" he had said. "Dosti ki hai, hum yeh nibhayenge" he had said.

Mishti closed her eyes as that carefree face popped up in her mind" Damn you, Abir" she cursed , "jaana hai toh chale jaate, why do you keep creeping up in my thoughts"

"Bhai, wake up"

"Go away" grumbling, Abir pulled the pillow over his head

"Bhai ab kab se 10 o clock tak sote ho?"

Abir sat up with a jolt, "10 o clock?" He exclaimed, glancing at the bedside clock. Brushing his hair out of his eyes, he grinned at his brother, "and tum kabse 10 o clock ghar pe rehte? Nanko is at home instead of office. It's going to rain"

Kunal smiled at him, "bhai AAP bhi na. We are going to check out locations. Is liye"

Abir nodded before what Kunal had said, dawned on him, "we?" He asked raising at his brows at his little brother, "who is we?"

"Me and kuhu"

"What?" Abir exlciamed, "nanko - tum" he said grabbing his brother by the shoulder, "and kuhu. Kya baat hai"

Kunal rolled his eyes, "bhai please. Itni si baat ke liye AAP cinematic reactions mat dijiye" he said, shaking his head

"Riiiiiiiiight" Abir chuckled, "And out of 150 employees you picked Kuhu. And out of a dozen managers, you decided to go yourself" he teased.

"You know what? I'm getting late, and kuhu makes me wait for 20 minutes even if I go early. So I'm leaving now" Kunal said, getting up.

"Nanko" Abir called out to his younger brother as he reached the door, " you're okay, na?"

Kunal's brows creased, before a smile spread over his face, "if you are talking about Mishti, then yes,bhai. We both have spoken about it, and we concluded that we weren't right for each other"

For some reason a huge wave of relief swept through Abir.

Like you don't know why his mind mocked him. Shaking his head to clear this thoughts, he looked over to Kunal as he continued, " I don't think I was ready for a relationship, bhai nor was I interested in Mishti. If I was I wouldn't have made you done all those things I should have. Sorry about that" Kunal finished sheepishly.

Grinning, Abir pushed himself out of his bed and walked over to Kunal. "Nanko" he muttered happily before pulling him in for a big brotherly hug.

"Aap theek toh hai na?" Kunal asked, looking at Abir, one brow raised in question, "you are behaving weird"

"Never been better, nanko. Never been better"

Author notes:

Yesss that one was loooooooong due. And yes, that's so short. Thing is I had planned it to be a super long one with MishBir coming face to face again, and then include both the promos but it was taking too long and didn't look like I could post it today. And I really wanted to post a part today. So posted this one - a precursor for things to come, and to set the stage for the next parts! :)

Already working on the next part, and it will be posted in a couple of days. Next one will have more of Abir's thoughts, both the promos and more MishBir.

Any Harry Potter fans here, if you are, you know where "never better" comes from. :) ;) I don't take credit for that. :)

Just read all the parts in one go and loved each and every parts to the core❤️. And I must say you have written each parts very beautifully❤️❤️.

Let's start from the starting, I really loved how you wrote the fight between Abir's heart and Abir himself. The way you wrote the POV for both MishBir was amazing.

Really liked the addition of the accident part, it really gave a turn to the story...how it proceeded to Mishti knowing the whole truth of courtship and then the convo. between MishBir after Abir became conscious and then breaking of the alliance (that's the best part😳). Then the part wala part...the huggggg❤️❤️.

And now mishti missing Abir is ❤️. really loved that you didn't potrayed Kunal as a negative character rather made him an understanding...

Altogether really loved the updates dear.....eagerly waiting for the next chapter....please do update soon....and yah..please do PM me if possible...

Yeah, I prefer alternating between both POVs in my stories. If it's a OS then I stick to one person's POV. :)

Hey Mridhu, I read your ffs and compare it to the show. I realy wish cvs would visit if and take some note from the great writers we have here. Dont get me wrong, i still love the show esp this week i have no complaints🤣 I think i have been craving for scenes like mishbir judaai( obv for a short period of time) , Mishti missing Abir and vice versa. Hopfully we have a lot of that on our way in the show. Till then i will satisfy myself here. Waiting for part 6 and mishbir scenes😊 ❤️ ty for writing
