Good for him, no person should have their entire life ruined by an unproven allegation. Rape and molestation are very serious charges and it is brutal to the victim when it happens but it is also equally brutal when a person is accused falsely and their life is ruined. A rape victim usually can get some support or sympathy and work towards getting their life in order again. Someone convicted or accused of molestation or rape even if false, never gets their name cleared, there will forever be the cloud hanging over them.

BUT most of all good for the entire country that the court is following the rule of law: You cannot convict a person, based on emotions, influence, coercion, wrongful purpose etc.. You need EVIDENCE. The day they follow the rule of law for everyone equally, the real victims will have recourse and real justice!

He should now get an Ace JD and sue everyone including the woman for false and malicious intent and for any resulting actual damages stemming from the statements, money lost as a result of losing any job, damage to the ability to secure new work, harm to reputation, embarrassment, mental anguish, humiliation. All because of the false accusations of having committed a serious crime.

This statement is misleading too.. It is not exactly the production company which exonerated him.. It is the internal complaints committee constituted in accordance with the sexual harassment at workplace act 2013...

I hope he does not withdraw his defamation case against Anurag Kashyap n Motwane. Even High court had slammed them for firing from the women's shoulder. They were manipulating her big time for their self interests n rivalry.

OK, valid point. My point was an internal committee is not a court of law and can be more susceptible to influences with regards to what’s beneficial for the company. I’m also very suspicious of the timing of this.

That's why there is an option to appeal to a higher court...which is not going to happen here.. She already told in court she doesn't want litigation... So this is it..

Sad that a serious movement like metoo is fizzling out. Everyone is back to business and victims may never find peace. Unfair!

Honestly it is very difficult to form an opinion in most #metoo cases. One never knows who is telling lie and who is telling truth, also this industry is filled with morally corrupt people who won't think twice before ruining somebody's life with false accusation but then I also believe that Bollywood is filled with sexual predators who misuse their status and power. Most cases of harassment are impossible to prove as there is no evidence. I would hate if a guilty person gets off scot free but I think an innocent person getting punished for a crime he/she didn't commit is even worse.

PS: wasn't talking about Vikas Bhel as I don't know the details of this case.

This whole Vikas Bahl thing is a mess it is a shame that Super 30 got embroiled in this whole mess and suffered. I thought Anurag Kashyap took over Bahl? Or was it only for post-production?
