Yeah, I like genie so much too. Will Smith really portrayed it so well. I think this version of Aladdin is doing justice both to pay homage to the original animation and make it fresh making its own signature and identity for this generation.
Also, one of the things I've noticed they change in this version is -- female empowerment -- with songs like Speechless that a woman will not want to hold her voice just because she is a woman; and the fact that Jasmine wants to rule in an era where such an idea is not to be entertained.
All in all I think this version has been written, directed and portrayed so very well in this live remake. I think people in General is going to enjoy it.

That song,it was so real,and I have a doubt ,was women empowerment emphasised in the first animation one or was it just love drama,'cause actually the Disney Princess I least loved was Jasmine,and after the movie,my thought about Jasmine changed completely,the movie so stands out from the usual Arabian nights with a lot of social issues discussed mixed with fantasy

Bacchi I also think that the song is so real. No, the original animation was focused on a love drama. She was determined to marry the man she loves, instead of marrying a man for social and political purposes; in no way did she have the aspiration to rule Aggrabah. And at the end of the animation, the sultan changed the law to allow Jasmine to marry a commoner; he didn't give Jasmine the crown nor did he allow her to ascend to the throne. It is amongst other things one of the things that is changed in this adaptation of the live remake.
